Stayed here for 5 days in May. We got to our hotel at 9 and the rooms were not ready yet. They tagged our bags and held them for us while we went on an excursion. When we got back, all was ready and they even asked if we wanted any changes to our room, which we did and they made, all were happy! It was close to the station which is a few min's from the main rail in Piccadilly. The staff were very helpful with all questions and helping us around the city. All in all it was an excellent stay and will stay here again!

Well finished air conditioned room with a good cityscape view (I was on 7th floor). The breakfast was of a good standard and included hot buffet options. The hotel is well positioned for Oxford Road railway station which is an easy connection to Picadilly. A couple of minor niggles. Flashing LED on the in room smoke detector kept catching my eye as I was trying to get to sleep. Despite being 7 floors up, there was quite a bit of street noise. Better glazing would help...

I spent one night here just before Christmas and the service was unquestionably excellent. I arrived at 11.45 and the room was available but I asked the receptionist if the room was at the rear as I wanted to be away from the main road. Shen told me the hotel was full but she would see if she could move us around. She spent quite some time doing this and was very apologetic about the wait. 10 minutes later we had a room at the side of the hotel. The little extra effort the receptionist put in made the stay a really good one.I have no complaints about the hotel as we had a cheap rate and a quiet room.The breakfast we good and hot and when we left the same receptionist was there and we thanked her for sorting out the room. Again she apologised for keeping us waiting the day before even though we had arrived early.I would happily stay here next time I am in Manchester

Booked a 1 night stay for a concert at The Ritz (which is just round the corner) and found the hotel to be very convenient - it can be seen from Oxford Road station - and comfortable. Bathroom was immaculate, nice large shower. The breakfast was better than expected, with a choice of coffees & teas, scrambled eggs, baked beans, sausages, toast/bread, muffins, croissants, cerial, fruit and yoghurt. Yum! Very impressed with the friendly staff (on check in, in the bar after the gig, and on check out in the morning) who were very chatty, helpful and generally engaging. As a very regular hotel stayer (I live in hotels during the week) I was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of our stay. I was expecting a "city centre, shovel them in and shovel them out" mentality but it was much more than that. Very nice indeed.

Just stopped for one night and chose based on proximity to the University Academy. Very pleasant, helpful staff and a choice of which floor we would like to stay on. Rooms are perfectly adequate although ours had a couple of small faults we fed back on before we left as it wasn't anything which ruined our stay. Security is good and breakfast was just fine. Would suggest that the higher rooms are probably quieter as Oxford Road is busy but you may well get round this problem by asking for a room which doesn't over look this room. Would stay again.
