Lovely hotel convenient for O2
The hotel is lovely. Couldn't fault the staff who were all very friendly and welcoming. Lots of nice touches - including ducks who live by the water features either side of the entrance! Spacious well equipped rooms, HUGE comfy bed, plenty of toiletries, extra pillows, ipod dock, large towels, ice machines, great spa, the usual quota of interesting and stylish decorative pieces typical of a Radisson. Good buffet breakfast. If you are going to the O2 it's an ok choice for an overnight stay (catch DLR from Blackwall or East India and change onto Jubilee line at Canning Town for one stop to North Greenwich - about half hour all in). But if you thought it might be like Canary Wharf with bars, restaurants, pleasant park areas, shopping etc -think again! Can't even take a nice long walk beside the Thames. The area is still being developed and the only things around apart from hotels and wharfside apartments, that we could find were a coffee shop, a small Budgens and an Italian restaurant.

Great at apologising, not so good at fixing the problem!!!
This hotel is very close to the O2 - if you can walk on water!!!! There is no boat service and the only way to get to this venue is either by taxi or via the DLR which is a walk away. Both take about 15-20 mins (+the walk is taking DLR option), atxi about ¿¿16, DLR less.I had booked a Suite for a birthday treat and a show at the O2 as a package. Once we located the hotel, checking in was fine with a very pleasant and helpful "Heather" on reception. We were allocated 625 which had a lounge, bedroom and bathroom, with loads of hi-tech gadgets, nice cosmetics and generally very nice. The problem was when we entered the room we noticed a number of items left by someone else previously. Clearly the room had been cleaned but apparently someone had returned. The Head Concierge "Richard" arrived soon after our phone call and was most apologetic and keen to put things right, offering various options. As we were due to go to the show we agreed to vacate the room with the promise to return after it was cleaned and the rubbish and other items removed. Richard organised a drink and a taxi for us as a gesture of goodwill, which was lovely. On returning from a great night, we found the room in exactly the same state as we had left it! As it was now in the early hours of the morning we simply collected up the stuff and left them outside the door, intending to take this no further. We then enjoyed a sumptuous buffet breakfast, with the staff working incredibly hard due to a very busy service. However, the Maitre De informed us that breakfast was not included, my paperwork clearly stated different, so thought we could sort out at check-out. Having ensured that I was not under a misapprehension (I wasnt, Full Breakfast being clearly stated) we checked out. The receptionist spent some minutes scrutinising the paperwork proferred and wanted to refer to his Manager. This being the case I decided to raise the previous problem that we had encountered. The Manager was quick to offer his abject apologies and made a gesture to make up for the problem. As my title of this review suggests, this hotel is good at the gestures to make up for the errors, but not very good at putting the right! Essentially an adequate stay in an up market hotel placed in an ok location providing good service but just missing being exceptional. Shame.

Good hotel
I have stayed in this hotel twice already and have it booked for a third night. The rooms are amazing. The bed comfortable and really big. There is free wifi, it's a few minutes away from public transport. The breakfast I had in the room was ok.The cocktails and drinks in the bar, usual hotel prices, were good. The atmosphere nice. The first time I went, there were a few problems with hot water and the room service food was not very nice, but they turned this around and invited me back at a discounted rate.We had a view from our room of the O2 over the water. it was really something special. The staff do look after you, although some of them a bit robotic and not very warm, others very friendly, I was even remembered from my last visit.Although a bit far out of town, there is a small shop about 5 minutes walk away. I would recommend staying here if you don't mind getting on public transport to all the sites. The rooms are definitely worth it for the comfort.

Great London Hotel
My wife and I booked a 'Deluxe river view' room at this hotel to celebrate her birthday. We were looking for a good hotel near to the O2 Arena, and had read some really good reviews of the Radisson Blu Edwardian on Tripadvisor.I can honestly say this is the best hotel in London that I have ever stayed in.The room (No. 628) on the 6th floor was amazing, with panoramic views of the River Thames and the O2 Arena from the bedroom and also from the bathroom (Which had a beautiful bath facing the huge windows). The room was modern with a very comfortable kingsize bed, Bang & Olufsen TV, Bose stereo system, mini bar and safe.During our stay we made use of the East River Spa located on the 1st floor of the hotel, I used the gym, which was very well equipped for a hotal gym. My wife had a Swedish Massage, used the steam rooms and the relaxation area. The whole experience was relaxed, friendly and professional. In fact all of the staff without exception were very helpful and friendly. We had lunch in the restaurant, the service was excellent and the food was very good.I would also recommend visiting the bar for a cocktail, probably the best cocktails we have been served in a long time. We really enjoyed our 2 day stay at the Radisson, in fact we had such a good time that we are thinking of booking again for my wife's birthday next year.

Best birthday stay
Myself and my mother visited this hotel for one night on the 7th June. I cannot praise it more we had booked last december when booking to see Rod Stewart at the O2 the location was ideal and upon arrive we were able to check in early the staff we were so friendly and helpful, the room stunning and beautiful views of the Thames. Unfortunately after arriving back from lunch we were informed that the concert we were due to see had been cancelled which was very disappointing as we hadn't received any contact from the O2 thank goodness the staff at the Radisson were so thoughtful to inform us. We made the most of the ideal location and still visited the O2 and on our return had a wonderful surprise left in our room as we were celebrating my Mother's birthday we were left a beautiful chocolate cake, card and bottle of red wine wishing her a happy birthday. The following morning we had breakfast in our room to make the most of the stunning room. Everything was perfect, following check out the general manager and other members of staff checked we had enjoyed our stay. In such a large hotel I feared that you maybe treated like a number but quite the opposite. All in all i cannot recommend this hotel more we will be sure to stay again in the future and look forward to telling all our family and friends of the wonderful experience we had.
