Expected Nicer
Dirty handprint on white shower curtain, housekeeping forgot bathmat, something nasty stuck to the cieling (white ceiling, black something rather large) dirty handprints around inside door knobs, leaking sink in bathroom....details just not acceptable. Very young kids running the halls at 1030 PM with that high pitched screaming...all in ear shot of the main front desk. We called and asked if they had quiet hours...they made some energy drink fed to kids by parents excuse, we just wanted them to take care of it...they did. They just acted like they didn't care. We checked out a day early, couldn't try to sleep there again. They didn't ask why, they didn't even look up. I didn't argue or want any money back...I knew we'd lose it anyway, that was the deal, but by then, I didn't care either.

You get what you pay for...
I was traveling with my boyfriend and another couple. We stayed at this hotel because they offered a "suite" which was more like 2 rooms connected with a door that didn't lock. We got a decent rate and figured we would barely be at the hotel because we were planning some biking and hiking trips, unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate and we were at the hotel longer than planned. We first arrived on Friday late afternoon, no problem checking into the hotel, they made a big stink about not smoking in the rooms, the entire hotel is smoke free... fine no big deal.We were on the side opposite the lobby, on the 2nd floor. we go up the stairs to get to our room (the only elevator is on the other side of the hotel so we dragged our suitcases up the stairs). We saw a pile of popcorn on the floor in the stairwell (that pile of popcorn did not disappear at all during our stay). We got to the rooms, they were clean enough, but we thought by a suite there would be some sort of sitting area, not just 2 hotel rooms connected to each other by a door(with only one entrance though). We had to call the front desk and ask them for another chair so we could create our own sitting area, because even though we put on the reservation there are 2 couples/4 people staying there, there were only a total of 3 chairs in the "suite".We stayed at the hotel for 3 days and the cleaning staff came through but really just made the bed, and replaced towels, although there is a sign if you want to reuse towels hang them up, and I hung up my towels every day and every day they disappeared(and weren't replaced, each day we got one less clean towel).The experience wasn't horrible, the beds were almost comfortable, however, not only did we not get the lake view we requested, the only thing we could see out our window was a big wall blocking us from viewing nature. Also even though they have a "strict non-smoking policy" expect to smell cigarette smoke wafting through the door (i'm a smoker but respect smoking rules and the fact that they made such a big deal out of it irritates me because it seemed as though no one was following it)I keep thinking of more issues as i go along, my last one is that normally hotels have lotion in rooms, and after the horrible soap they have dried out my hands i was disappointed to find that there was no lotion in the hotel room, i had to go out and buy some...I would not recommend this hotel. and whatever you do DO NOT EAT AT THE HOTEL RESTAURANTpros: price, quiet, locationcons: everything else

What more could you want!
Great hotel in the most perfect location. Reasonable rates, friendly staff and clean accommodations. Phenomenal view of Mirror Lake. Park your car for your entire stay...so close to everything you need. Great package deals too. Renovations to include a new restaurant will be great. Hope nothing changes too much. I like it the way it is!!

Spring break holidays
Nice Hotel and great smiling and welcoming attitude from the host personnel. Gym is small but convenient. Nice swiming pool. Breakfast was good. Parking is easy. Located at walking distance from all the interesting restaurants and tours.

Not worth the price...
Stayed here with our sons youth hockey team. It was also NCAA weekend so all hotels in town were packed. Even with the team discount we got for the room, it wasn't worth the price we paid. The hotel is in need of major upgrading and deep cleaning! There was some evidence of construction taking place, but not in the rooms. The convenience to shops within walking distance was really the only pro. You could leave your car in the hotel lot, if you could find a space. Parking lot was poorly cleaned of snow, and lot filled up very quickly. There was overflow parking, but across and up the street a bit; not very convenient. I liked the idea of the environmentally friendly large refillable shampoo/conditioner, but they were empty after one shower and never refilled. The tiny soap lasted one hand washing. The restaurant downstairs was severely overpriced. I paid $9 for a SALAD! Bathroom was outdated and needed major cleaning. Room¿¿¿s heater turned on and off every 30 seconds all night, so kept us up, but had to have on. Rugs, curtains and furniture were old and dirty. Pool was ok, hot tub murky and skeptical. Staff was nice.I wouldn't stay here again, even with a team discount, and I don¿¿¿t recommend it.
