Good location
We spend two night in room 702 overlooking the expressway. Not the greatest of views but the windows are double glazed so there's no noise. The king sized bed was comfortable enough and has plenty of pillows. The room itself, including the bathroom, was a good size. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful.Prepay for the self service buffet breakfast and save yourself ¿¿5 a day. There is plenty of choice, it's available until midday and the quality is okay.I will never understand why in-room wi-fi is not complimentary or included in your tariff in this day and age. There is plenty of room in the foyer for free wi-fi if you don't want to pay extra.

Fantastic Hotel
Had a wonderful weekend. Room was big and spotless. Bed was very comfortable. We had two double beds in the room. Service and breakfast was excellent. Great value. Shops nearby and good restaurants and nightlife.

Lovely weekend getaway!
We stayed here with our 3 children for 2 nights and really liked this hotel. There was a problem with our room on arrival (opened the door to see the ceiling had caved in but were moved within minutes to the floor below. We stayed on a B&B basis - breakfast was good with so much choice and ate in the restaurant on our 1st night and ordered room service on our 2nd - again no complaints and good choice on kids menu. Kids were allowed in the pool until around 9pm which was a great way to spend our evenings. This hotel is great for all kinds of visitors in my opinion - from business stays, to shopping weekends and family breaks. Lovely reception area, straight away you feel as if you are in a Marriott, with a grand reception desk and friendly staff. Would certainly stay again.

Okay at the right price.
We stayed for two nights over Bank Holiday as part of a group of friends. The hotel was decent enough - pretty standard Marriott hotel. We booked a deluxe room and the others booked standard rooms - it was impossible for me to tell the difference except we received one robe and one pair of slippers in our room? We were on the 9th floor and woken each morning by banging bedroom doors - surely there can be some way of preventing everyones door from banging whenever they come or go from a room? The staff were friendly and helpful and this was a real plus to this hotel. I thought that breakfast quality was poor. I was impressed that breakfast was served until 12pm on weekends but by 11am some items were finished and others running low. We had dinner in the restaurant one night which is very bright and slightly cafeteria like. The food was average - I had steak which was done too much for my medium rare request. They did offer to do me another but as everyone else in the group had their meals I chose not to. Not a bad hotel - but certainly not the best Marriott I have stayed in either. Would probably opt to stay elsewhere next time I am in Glasgow.

Only place I've ever been in Glasgow!
I always find it difficult to rate a chain hotel which is exactly as you expect. Is it "average " because its what you expect, or is it "very good" or "excellent" - but that's why you chose it isn't it?This hotel is exactly what you expect in a four star Marriott and its why I returned here for my third visit last Friday (Bank Holiday).Apart from all the facilities you expect, the BIG plus for us is the location. Because it is so well located this is the only place I've ever been in Glasgow (and the Ho Wong restaurant 10 minutes walk away which I've reviewed separately).Our stays here have been on the way through from Anglesey to the rest of Scotland ( variously Skye, Islay and last weekend Cromarty). As I don't know my way around you can just drive around the M8 until you reach the right exit and there it is- you can even see it before the slip-road so you know that you are in the right place. It has its own car-park (pay extra) but despite the motorway there is no noise to bother you.Beds are big and comfy and every time I've woken in the morning it is a glorious day outside-you pay extra for this!The girl on reception was charmingMinuses- we didn't master the A/c but its normally second night before we get the better of this. It was warm overnight.Normally I try different places to stay when I revisit a place but this ticks all the boxes for me.So having written that review I have to decide what I rate this and I'm coming up with "very good". It seems to be the most accurate description for what I like about this hotel.
