Excellent 2 night stay
Just returned from glasgow after a excellent 2 night stay with my wife. The hotel is centrally located only 4 min walk from the main shopping areas. The hotel rooms are modern, clean and quite spacious, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts are both English and continental with food for all tastes.We found a excellent Italian restaurant 50mtrs to the right of the hotel on the oppisite side of the road called fratelli Sarti, which served lovely food.I would certainly reccomend this hotel, and will stay again

Average hotel. Good central position in Glasgow
The hotel is in a great location with easy access to the centre of Glasgow. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. However the rooms and facilities were mediocre and not exceptional as I was led to believe from some reviews. We only had breakfasts in the hotels, which again were very average with fairly poor service because of under-staffing.

Another mediocre hotel on our Traflagar Tour
See my review of the Harrogate England Holiday Inn. Similarly this was not worhty of 3=4 star rating as promised by the tour organizers. This place had only 2 tiny elevators and they didn't seem to work well at all. Rooms were small, with torn carpeting and uncomfortable beds. The buffet breakfasts were fine as most are in Great Britain but it was hard to get coffee refills. The hotel is quite centrally located so its an easy walk to bars and restaurants in downtown Glasgow. Front desk staff were helpful with dinner suggestions but did not have a clue as to where the restaurants they suggested actually were. Just a block down the street was often 5-6 blocks. If you stay there, just use the stairs!!

Lovely Rooms
We stayed here for one night mid week in a family room for ¿¿90 (room only)It did seem expensive considering hotels in that area were cheaper for the same qualityDecor was gorgeous thoughRooms were cleanDid not have any food here we went to a chinese further down the road which was lovelyStaff at reception were very blunt and seemed to be having a conversation of their own before noticing us.

Always great value
I've stayed here many times over the last 5 years. If you shop around on trivago or similar sites you can get a double room in the region of 60GBP. Staff are always pleasant and the rooms are clean. Like a lot of city centre hotels the bar/restaurant is deserted of an evening. Only had breakfast on one of my stays but wouldn't recommend due to the lack of space in the dining room of a morning. That apart, a wonderful hotel.
