Hotel located on the sea front. 10-15 min walk from the city centre. Location excellent. Hotel staff very friendly excellent service. Restaurant with the sea view. Breakfast was good. Rooms small very in need of updating interior. Thought still can do even if building grade 2 listed. Floors are noisy when walking. But rooms quiet.

Just want to mention the excellent service we got from The Best Western Hotel, 143-145 Kings Road, Brighton, East Sussex BN1 2PQ Tel 01273 820555.Last Friday morning around 0130 am we needed a hotel due to a relative being admitted in an emergency to Royal County Hospital A&E.I rang around very late trying to get a room for myself and my wife.The night porter, Isaac, quoted us a very reasonable price of approx ¿¿59 for a basic double room incl breakfast. He thoughtfully provided toothbrushes and toothpaste as we had left our house in a rush with nothing. The room was not luxurious but perfectly clean and functional, towels and shower gel provided in the efficient shower.The breakfast in the morning served hot and promptly by waiter service. Not a luke warm buffet but a hot freshly cooked breakfast. Excellent helpful customer service and a good breakfast at a budget price.The staff at the hospital were amazed at the value for money at a Seafront Hotel. Many took details for their visiting relatives.

I stayed three days over the bank holiday weekend for the Brighton Festival. You couldn't beat the location - right on the seafront and far enough away to have some quiet time on the beach - thankfully we had a rare and amazing sunshine filled weekend. The staff were excellent, friendly and accommodating, particularly the reception and breakfast waiting staff :) As for the cooked breakfast, it was quite substantial and good quality, the sparkling wine on arrival was a nice touch, as was being served tea/coffee/juices at your table. The room was smaller than I'm used to in other hotels (think of it as your second bedroom at home) but that is the Best Western way! It had ample cupboard/storage space with en-suite, the bed was firm and very comfortable and again, due to the location had very little noise and disturbance from revellers at night. Another added bonus was the free WiFi which was superfast, there's also a standalone PC in reception if you needed to access the internet. The 15 minute walk into town was not a problem - before you know it you're in the centre of Brighton - even more enjoyable with the amazing views! I will stay again - and yes the floors are uneven but not a problem!

I had searched for a hotel in Brighton that had on site parking facilities and come across The Brighton Hotel which offered exactly that but was limited. The reason I had to do this was that I am still recovering from the worst eight months of my life after having hip surgery last year. I am unable to walk very far and my daughter, who is expecting a baby, was to accompany me for an overnight stay, to see Leona Lewis on tour. I had been so looking forward to this break and was like a two year old in the car on the way down, I could't wait to get there! On arrival at the hotel,I went into reception to ask where we had to go to park the car and was told that due to there being a wedding at the hotel, the car park had been closed to accommodate seating for guests and that the only parking was pay and display on the road or the NCP further down the road. The roadside parking was non-existant due to it being a bank holiday and it also being Brighton's festival. So My daughter and I had to drive to the NCP in the worst traffic jam which took us another 2 hrs. We decided to have a look around the shops while we were near to them and have a cuppa too. Then we had to get a taxi back to the Hotel with all our bags.I had by this time called my husband who wasn't best pleased. He called the hotel and spoke to a lady called Yarni and explained my reasons for booking with them and asked that they pay for the cab fair back to the hotel. She very kindly agreed but not before explaining that the hotel had contacted the booking agent to let them know to tell their customers that the parking was not going to be available. When we arrived back at the hotel I was reimbursed for the cab fair, was upgraded to a sea view room and we were both offered a complimentary breakfast for the following morning.There was another young lady behind the desk with her and between them they made what had earlier seemed to be turning into a disaster, become a lovely weekend. I can't praise them highly enough. This was not their fault and yet they couldn't have been more obliging. So I would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart for everything they did and would love to book with this hotel again sometime in the future.Thank you

I had a great stay here and loved the room which was really clean with a comfy bed, tv and coffee making facilities. It was great value for the price and the only downside was the 20 minute walk to the town centre but this is probably the reason we had a quiet nights sleep! The hotel is on the seafront and had sea views and the walk to town is along the beach. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was nice. I would definitely stay here again.
