Modern Rustic in Lower Manhattan
Our cab from LaGuardia was about $50 (w tax/tip) to the door of Gild Hall. The modern library type foyer with leather couches was warm and inviting. Service was quick and easy to check in and the front desk staff were genuinely pleasant and helpful. Our room was on the 14th floor. Rooms are small, but that is typical in NYC. Bed was comfy, bathroom was updated and had wonderful lavendar bath amenties from a local apothecary. Mini bar, lots of pricey bottled water, a robe, and other nuances were not used, but appreciated. Our only disappointments were that the carpet was black, which I don't know about you, but it isn't very inviting to me to take your shoes off with black carpet as it is meant to hide yucky things, and the black distressed wood furnishings just looked worn, versus faux rustic, which made the room feel tired. What would have made all that go away, would have been a coffee maker... alas not one in the room.We would recommend the hotel, especially if going to the 911 Memorial or sites in the lower part of Manhattan. It is a simple walk to many of the attractions, and there is a subway segment near Fulton St about 3 blocks away which runs all the different lines up through the city. Very convenient.The best part about the hotel we thought was the in-house restaurant Felice. We are writing a review about that next!

What a gem of a hotel on lower Manhattan
I had never heard of Gild Hall when my client booked us there. I was som impressed with the facility (very boutique), the restaurant (the Italian food especially the pasta) and most importantly the staff. The staff was very client focused and they always wanted to help in any way. I was so thrilled with my stay that I am going back on a personal visit as my first stay was on business. What a gem!!!!

Really liked this hotel.
Sure, this hotel is located in the Financial District which can be a little bit of a pain if you have meetings in Midtown, but it is very close to a subway stop and I really liked this place. Got a great deal on this place on JetSetter and was able to get a very large room which I loved. Room was very big for NYC and clean. Had a kitchenette, microwave, and a Keurig coffee maker.Only minor things are the location (but not that big of a deal), the gym was small and stuffy, think walk-in closet sized, but they did have 2 others to choose from. Worked for me. Other than that, was a home run.

Nice hotel, OK neighborhood
The hotel is pretty nice. The rooms are small but quite comfortable. Super expensive. I'd give it a rave review if price was around $300 but cost was excessive. Neighborhood isn't much and I was disappointed that the roof of the hotel isn't open like their hotel in Soho.

Perfect on the weekends!
We stayed at this cool little gem of a hotel after seeing the photo of the lobby on the website. We were in NY for the weekend and going between there and Brooklyn so the location was perfect and over the weekend - quiet! The room was very quiet and comfortable, nice furnishings and interesting front desk staff. Stay here - you will feel quite at home!
