Stayed for two nights for a family celebration in Swansea. ¿¿10 for breakfast which was excellent value - Fresh fruit, cereal, English breakfast and croissants, etc. Staff very friendly - nothing too much trouble and really helpful.Room very nice, however, bed was uncomfortable. on checking out I did mention this to the Receptionist who was very apologetic and said they would have moved us if I had mentioned it before! Excellent shower and room very quiet.

stayed here for 2 nights.¿¿117 for the 2 of us. Breakfast ¿¿10 each well worth it. Good choice fried,fruit,cereal unlimited tea and coffee etc. Hotel is in a trading estate about 4 miles from the city centre or ¿¿10 taxi ride.The rooms are well designed ,comfortable with kettle,iron ,tv and free wi fi.Staff are friendly and efficient.The Hotel has a gym and a small pool. Very quiet ,plenty of parking,nice bar,could have done with some bottles of real ale but very comfortable.

The hotel is dated especially noticeable in the bathrooms with limited power to the showers but our room was large & very comfortable.The staff were fantasticly helpful and thoughtful and we would stay here again.

We stayed for a night when there was a home Swansea football match. The room was fine and staff friendly. However, due to the busy night. There were football fans, wedding party and children visiting that night. Despite asking for a side table at dinner and there being tables available, we were placed in the middle of the room, opposite the buffet counter, not good. The meal included in our stay (we paide for dinner included) was carvery. This consisted of choice of beef or what appeared to b rolled turkey. I chose the beef, my wife the turkey. Turned out she made the better choice. The beef was tough and although a lot of it, I gave up and took the meat away to give to our dog!The deserts were all but eaten, only a couple of items remained. Cheesecake and something else. There was also a lemon meringue pie, but this was devastated by previous people and should not have been left on display. Perhaps it tasted good. Considering the cost was around ¿¿40 per head for the meal, it should have been better (although we paid less due to inclusive with room, around ¿¿30 per head)Breakfast was good, we enjoyed that much better. When we arrived at our room, it was very cold. We could not get heating to work, turned out this was due to reception forgetting to turn on the heater on arrival. Once turned on, room was warm and very comfortable. The bed, although soft was good.

As a frequent business traveller I stay in a lot of hotels and all are pretty much the same. However on a recent business trip to Swansea I booked last minute into the Mecure hotel. Despite my last minute booking I was given a very friendly and fast check in from Mark and was allocated a great (executive) room with a view of a lake and an amazing power shower and comfortable bed. I was able to make quick use of the pool and sauna before having dinner. The restaurant staff were very friendly and the service very efficient. The menu was good, well priced and catered for all tastes. Despite being located on the edge of a small business park access into the City Centre was quick and easy and the hotel is also convenient for the M4. This hotel really stands out from others I have stayed in recently with friendly staff, good location and no hidden charges for parking, breakfast, wifi etc. Will definitely be returning for business or even leisure!
