I stayed here for 2 nights over the bank holiday weekend. The room was to a good standard and very clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly and delivered an excellent service. Breakfast was very good and the waiting staff were very efficient. Would certainly recommend this hotel to friends and have no hesitation to return for another break.

We stayed here for one night over the bank holiday weekend, the room was very spacious and air conditioning which worked! the room was in the middle of town but was very quiet! we parked at Arndale NCP, which has cheap weekend rates, we paid ¿¿5.50 for 24hr parking!! the only downside was they only had instant coffee for breakfast!

My wife and I stayed in this hotel in 2004, we decided to book a room for the two of us and our children. We noticed that everything was the same as in 2004: duvets, offer for breakfast, and we felt like at home :-).Good points: 1) brilliant position: you do not need any tram/bus to visit the city center, all the main attractions are within a few minutes walk2) helpful staff: we arrived very early in the morning, and check-in is guaranteed after 2 pm; at the reception we were offered to leave our luggage and our room was prepared immediately - we also needed to contact a pharmacy on Saturday night after 8 pm, and the staff was very helpful and reminded us that they were available all night for anything we needed; we had a problem with electricity, and it was solved within a few hours (when we were out)3) large rooms: we were four and there was enough space to stay there after a long day with 2 kids4) price is good, compared to other hotels which are far from the center and offer the same rates5) good breakfast: I have had better choices for breakfasts, but this is a 3 star hotel, and I can say that the standard for this category is definitely good.Negative aspects:1) cleaning staff: sometimes they forgot to clean properly, and although at the bar we were told that glasses brought up to the room would have been collected by the cleaning staff, we had to take them back. The bar staff apologized.Thanks to the staff for being helpful with us when our little boy was sick.

Just had a weekend stay here in Nottingham and we thought this hotel was really good value. Staff very pleasant and helpful, big, spotlessly clean room with huge (and very comfortable) bed and all usual facilities. Good sized bathroom but no toiletries, apart from shower gel and liquid soap fixed to the walls. The breakfast was very good - great selection of cereals, pastries, yogurts + plus cooked eggs, bacon etc. The hotel is right in the city centre and was full of stag and hen groups but very quiet and we slept well. Just a couple of minor points. The first room we were allocated (in which a previous guest had clearly been surreptitiously smoking!) overlooked a property where a man was operating some kind of cutter/grinder - the noise was deafening and there were clouds of dust. When I spoke to the duty manager we were immediately given a different room on the other side. This was fine, though I discovered the next day that the room phone wasn't working so couldn't phone reception or use room service without going downstairs.

My husband and I have just spent a night here and we can't fault it. Our room was spacious, the bed was huge and very comfortable and the bathroom a good size.The whole hotel seems to be spotlessly clean and the staff are extremely friendly and efficient.Breakfast was superb.For a budget hotel it was better than some more expensive ones we have stayed in and would recommend it to anyone going to Nottingham.The location couldn't be bettered either as it is close to the centre of the city.
