Convenient and Good Value
Business trip to Haydock Park therefore this hotel was convenient, although there are others closer by.Excellent value for money. Easy to find. Plenty of parking.Rooms were functional. TV Channels very limited.If hotel spent a little more money on thir pillows then it would rate more highly, in my view

Great Staff, Great Service, Great Hotel!
If you like to feel welcome, have good hot food available, and a clean room to stay in you are in the right place. I cannot fault the staff in this hotel - the management, reception staff and the cleaners, all do their jobs in a professional manner, and nothing is too much trouble for them. I have stayed in this hotel on a weekly basis since February 2013 and have no problem in recommending it!

Had a fab time lovely staff great value for money
I stayed for 2 nites with my partner had a lovely stay staff was wonderful rooms wasn't very clean but the bar staff and restaurant staff was lovely it was busy it seemed understaffed but the girls tried the best and sorted us out when our tv broke I would stay again the food was ok could be better

Good location for east lancs road
Second stay in this hotel. I like the laminate floor but the mattresses needs upgrading. Good water pressure. Wifi in lobby, sometimes.Breakfast was cold, sausages hard and shrivelled. No attempt to rectify the situation by front desk staff. " oh well attitude" Although I would stay here again because the location is good when I come to visit family, the staff could do with a course in hospitality and make an attempt to rectify thingsAlso needs better internet connections

Ask if there's a wedding before paying
We checked into the hotel at around 2pm, and noted the wedding cars outside. I asked if there was a wedding and was told there was, however no mention was made of the location of the wedding.When we arrived back in the evening, we immediately noticed that the wedding was taking place in the lobby/breakfast room of the hotel.Our room was on the first floor, and when we entered we found that we could hear the wedding music and DJ as loudly as if we were still downstairs.We went back down to reception and asked if there was another room available, explaining that as we weren't involved with the wedding taking place, we had no desire to hear it.The receptionist initially told us they were full, but eventually found us a room on the third floor.This room was much quieter thankfully, and from looking at other rooms on that floor in the morning, it would seem they reserve this floor for families with children, as our room had a third bed in it.The floor was dusty, but other than that the room was clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable, the curtains blocked the light perfectly, and the desk was large enough. More wardrobe/clothes storage space would be useful though.The bathroom was a wet room, with plenty of storage space though no hook to hang a hand towel; the shower was powerful and the design was good.I would stay in a ramada encore again, but probably not this one if there was a wedding on.
