Stayed here for one night on a weekend, with my family. I travel on business a lot, and use Travelodge¿¿¿s mostly. However Holiday Inn were offering Wi-Fi and breakfast, which as I had family I thought it would be good to include. When I am on my own in the week I grab a coffee from the nearest Pret. Unfortunately, the hotel is very tired, the rooms in need of a refit. The beds very uncomfortable. The breakfast was honestly awful. In terms of cooked, you can only have scrambled eggs, beans and sausage. No bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms etc. I found this strange.The most off putting however was there was a dog show in town, and the hotel was full of dogs, which were apparently allowed to stay in the rooms? I confess I am not a ¿¿¿dog person¿¿¿ but even so, I was surprised them being allowed in the rooms. The hotel is right next to the M6, which is very loud. Luckily we were in a room away from the motorway, but if you are a light sleeper, ask for a room away from the road.

This is probably a great place to stay if you are on a long drive up and down England and need a place to sleep and rest. To stay here on business for a number of days, I would look elsewhere.The good: The Front Desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the Hotel was close to Downtown Stafford.The Bad: Breakfast was not appealing and I only ate cereal. The eggs were "bag o eggs" and looked scary. There is no "Dinner" other than some paninis from the Front desk that you have to pick up yourself after placing an order. However, there is a Chinese restaurant and a Pub across the parking lot with some pretty good food. I found the room small and the beds even smaller (two twins). I don't think I will ever get used to the concept of "no sheets" and only a Duvet to cover you up at night. OH.. and the pillows were terrible. While they were wrapped in a "Soft" and "Firm" label; it was more like "Flat" and "Flatter". The last concern is the noise from the Highway. If you are having a sleepless night, that will keep you awake.I could add something about the "BO" smell from the cleaning lady as she came into my 'not empty' room on my day of checkout but that might appear insensitive and is no reflection on the hotel itself.My advice - look around before choosing this one, especially if planning on staying for a few days.

My colleague and I stayed here while attending a course nearby from 21st to 25th April , had a very comfortable stay rooms were clean and had everything you need. Room was perfect size for 1 .Chinese on site was lovely and the pub did great value for money food. Would recommend to others and also stay again if in the area.

We booked a one-night stay at the last minute. Got a double room with a sofa bed which was more than adequate for the two of us!. Bathroom was fairly small, but clean & functional. We arrived quite late, and the receptionist was very friendly & welcoming. Breakfast was a decent buffet.All in all, we were very pleased - the hotel was easily comparable standard to Premier Inns

Stayed last weekend. Lets do positive first.Clean. Well situated, Soft play accross road to keep kids happy.Free breakfast...was ok!Now for negatives.Staff uninterested on check in. I was handed a form to sign. Given key card & told breakfast was 7-10. Then had to find room as the member of staff did'nt give us any clues of stairs/lift etc. Then we got to the room. 2adults & 2 kids. WAY too small for a family. The sofa bed was unfolded for the children. This however rendered the desk/dressing table & chair unusable as it was crammed up against, there waa 6 coat hangers. No hooks for you to hang coats.2 large bath towels & 2 hand towels..for 4 of us.The mattress....was terrible!! Every move by either myself or hubby caused the other to move usually towards the middle. This is'nt a bad thing though as the quilt barely fit the bed. The second night, my hubby slept on sofa bed with one child & me with the other in the double bed.The shower had a lovely yellow stain on the ceiling, then black mould in the sealant & pipe coming out of wall. The light switch on the side of bed, switched on light but you had to flick it several times to turn it off. One plug socket??? We were staying for a wedding, I did'nt take many photos as my phone died, my hubby had to charge his, as its for work too. Then on Sunday morn.,dispite check out being 12, they were knocking on the door at 9.15am. TV..5 channels, all orange lolTo be honest, had we not had family local, so spent very little time in the hotel, we would have complained or checked out early.
