Nice, but no connectivity
Very nice, comfortable and with very friendly service. Only one drawback - network patch in the room was so short, that I was able to connect my notebook only under the table. Wireless was at a premium price, but connection quality was so poor, that I had constant inerruptions. Fair to say that manager friendly removed it from the bill.

Superb relaxing hotel
This is no ordinary Holiday Inn. Extraordinary service, a most friendly welcome and very attentive staff gave us a very special weekend break. You really step back in time here with the ambiance of old charm, high ceilings, the sweeping staircase and comfy club chairs in the bar. Our executive room was very spacious and light with an airy , modern bathroom. The dining room is beautiful and the staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The food was remarkably good and well presented. We really could not fault the Royal Victoria and must mention the personal attention given to the guests by the manager, Hermann . For our next visit, we would not consider anywhere other than this hotel.

Excellent customer service
From the moment we arrived to the minute we left nothing was too much trouble for the staff here. The hotel itself is interesting, not the usual style of Holiday Inn, and has maintained its historic character.The restaurant menu is imaginative and items are freshly prepared. Walking distance to the city but the cabs requested by the hotel are punctual, drivers friendly and courteous and good value.

Traditional Railway Hotel
Although the railway and station have long gone The Victoria still retains the granduer and tradition that railway hotels used to have.A fine, old building which has been tastefully modernised. Clean and comfortable and a friendly, helpful staff with a superb breakfast too. Will look forward to our next visit here

lovely classic old hotel
Had a delightful stay at the Victoria Holiday Inn in sheffield. We were in sheffield for the half marathon and the hotel was perfect. Lovely big adjoining rooms of two adult and two kids. Fantastic breakfast and thanks to Herman the manager (on duty Sunday morning!!!!) for his hospitality. Lovely staff everywhere. We will use again. Thanks.
