Fabulous
My husband and I stayed here with our 2 children,ages 12 & 8 whilst we were visiting Alton Towers. We were greeted by a lovely receptionist, who couldn't do enough for us. A hotel stay is a big treat for us, so we were really happy with our room,it was lovely and clean, with air conditioning. After reading a mixed review of the hotel, was unsure if I should book or not. Very glad I went with my instinct. We all loved the swimming pool and jacuzzi, with again, very helpful stuff. They have a small play area, which is very safe for little ones, my 8 year old enjoyed the swings, with room for my 12 year old to throw a rugby ball around with his dad. My Children were very impressed with a pancake maker at breakfast, and the food was delicious. Staff were chatty friendly and there to clear away the plates very quickly. An extreamly enjoyable hotel stay.

Good value for money
Have stayed here on 3 occasions whilst visiting the Peak District/Alton Towers in recent years. Excellent position for all major road networks and very short drive to the Peak District. Good comfortable clean hotel, excellent service, friendly staff. Swimming pool and gym. Will always stay there for a short trip in this area. 5 mins from Stoke City FC stadium.

A comfortable stay
The room was clean and comfortable. We could open the window to let in some fresh air rather than having to turn on the air conditioning. Room was spacious with 2 arm chairs and a double bed.The extractor fan in the bathroom didnt seem to do anything so it got very steamy after a shower. There are toiletries provided but they are not great quality, I would only use them if I had forgotten my own. The breakfast is great, there is a pancake machine for a real treat breakfast although the chocolate sauce was too sweet and lacked flavour. The staff forgot our coffee but quickly got us some when reminded.

Handy for M6, nice enough.
This was a good place to stop off, clean, nice rooms, good bathroom. We even ate in the restaurant. That was really good. Meal for two with drinks, 33 quid. What really peed me off was the interminable wait at reception, while the girl spoke to the `younger' clients rather than processing payments. That said, it is 21st century Britain....what else can you expect.

Fine to lay your head
We stayed at this hotel as we were attending a wedding a few miles away and therefore had booked a number of rooms. The location of the hotel was very convenient only a minute from the motorway.Having attended the church wedding service we chose to check-in and leave all the cars at the hotel before getting taxis to the wedding reception. A number of us checked-in at the same time and reception seemed ill-equipped to handle this, it took over half an hour to check-in 10 or so people. We arrived around 2.45pm and a number of rooms were not ready despite being advertised as check-in from 2pm. The room was fine although quite small. Whilst we had a family room, it wasn't any bigger than a double just had an extra bed squeezed in. When we returned later we had to ask for towels and toiletries, which I think had been forgotten in the rush to get the rooms ready. We did not return until midnight so cannot comment on the dinner or bar service. Breakfast was a buffet and staff were friendly. There was a variety of continental and full English items but I was a bit disappointed that there were no additional vegetarian items when I asked i.e veggie sausages. However it was enjoyable and plentiful.We did have chance to use the leisure facilities which was a welcome treat. The pool was adequate in size and clean. There was also a jacuzzi and sauna.Overall I don't think this hotel would warrant a special trip, but if you need to stay in the area it is fine.
