We picked this hotel because it was where we needed to be. We knew what to expect , and what not to expect. The staff were efficient and pleasant. The hotel does not do evening meals, just snacks, but the staff recommended a leisure park nearby with plenty of choice and we were able to eat well. The room was clean and big enough. The breakfast was self service but quite adequate. I would stay there again.

We arrived from Edinburgh Airport at about 2330hrs and we were warmly greeted and given a run down of the hotel services. The room was of Holiday Inn Express standard and was ideal with a flat screen TV with freeview channels, plenty of storage space, tea/coffee facilities and a hugely comfortable bed. The bathroom had good liquid soap dispensers and powerful shower. We arrived quite late for breakfast and had about 10 minutes to spare before the 10am deadline but there was a good selection of hot and cold food and we were asked if we wanted anything else before the items were taken away which was thoughtful.A very nice Holiday Inn Express and would eagerly return when in the area again.

I have just stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks whilst working locally on nightshift, and must say that I was pleasantly suprised. The room was large, well presented and immaculately clean, the bathroom was spacious and the large power shower was spot on.The breakfasts were basic, but tasty and the staff were always on hand if needed.The girls on reception were first class, always pleasant and helpful and the 4 hours of free internet every daywas a real bonus.I would quite happily stay here again.

Very clean, comfortable and modern hotel. I especially liked the huge shower and the soaps they use smell gorgeous. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I didn't eat here so I can't comment on the food.Would stay here again.

Having stopped here before when I have visiedt family, I booked our stay through a special offer, initially I had a problem with the internet booking, I rang the hotel direct (get the number from Say No to 0870, you wont pay the premium call cost then, just national rate) I spoke to a young gentleman who was lovely and listened to what I had to say, "No problem was his reply, I'll book your stay now for you" which he did, he promised to send confirmation , I didn't recieve it, due to problems with the internet service, I got a call the next morning to apologise, which was very much appreciated. When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist, I said my name and within seconds we were given keys to the room etc, the service was second to none yet againThis hotel is basic so if you want 5* luxury, its not for you. If you want good, clean, value for money accomodation then book your stay, you can't really go wrong. The rooms are a good size (we stayed in a family room with roll out bed) very clean and serviced daily by very friendly and courteous staff. Soft white towels and crisp white linen are provided, a brilliant shower with constant hot water. This budget hotel chain also provide shower gel and hand soap which is a bonus considering I forgot to pack my own. Wardrobe space is limited, I presume they cater more for one/two night stopovers rather than week stays, for us this wasnt a problem, it may be for others. Breakfast was good, cereals,fresh fruit juices,tea, coffee, toast, fresh rolls, sausages, scrambled eggs, baked beans, pastries, fruits and yoghurt, for us this was more than adequate as we would normally toast or cereal for breakfast at home. The location is excellent, just off the motorway to take you further north or south to Edinburgh.Directly opposite is a large Asda store and a Harvester restaurant just 5/10min walk away.I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to other family members when visiting Scotland as it ticks all the boxes for me. the only other thing I would like to say is THANK YOU!!!! all the staff we encountered were brilliant.
