Awesome Anniversary
My husband and I chose NYC to spend our 18th anniversary. We stayed at the Intercontinental Times Square. The location is great (this was our 3rd trip to NYC) and the hotel staff absolutely wonderful. They surprised us by putting us in a corner room on the 35th floor (great view) and delivered Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to our room. The room was very nicely decorated, the bathroom has a large shower with rainshower head and separate hand held shower head - I loved the shower and they have huge bath towels (another plus!) they also supplied bath robes and a nice selection of coffee and tea. The best part for a gal who travels almost weekly - the bed - it was incredible, perhaps the best sleep I have had in years. I am not kidding! the front desk is very responsive and the restaurant was perfect for us - casual. There is a subway station nearby and a wide variety of things to do. The concierge has maps and recommendations. We will definitely recommend this hotel. Classy and thoughtful!

Better than the place with a salad named after it.
This hotel was conveniently located to a theatre I was attending. WOW.It is an oasis of beauty and calm in the midst of Times Square. Times Square can be quite annoying, but all is forgotten once you enter the doors of this phenomenal hotel.I happened upon a good rate... not sure if that's always the case.My room had an excellent view of all the action, yet, none of the noise of chaos penetrated thru to my room. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom was luxurious.Staff was friendly and helpful. Cannot understand why this isn't rated higher on TA.

Very good property right next to Broadway
What a place!!!!!The staff was extremely helpful, kind and the concierge gave us great tips to shows, eat, clubs, everything..... And wait it doesn't stop there. I casually mention when i was finalizing the reservation that i was visiting to celebrate our 5th anniversary and guess what? The had sparking wine in the room for us..... I recommend this property not only for its location, but mostly for its magnificent staff truly a world class in service.

Super Comfty
From our corner room, we could see Times Square and the theatres that were within walking distance. The room was spacious, clean and well planned. A screen divided the sleeping area from the couches which helped since our son was sleeping in a cot on the other side. The concierge were very helpful and answered all of our questions easily. Overall an expensive but lovely hotel!

Not Really Imressed
I had high expectations of this new hotel and was disappointed. The "Very Good" overall rating I'm giving is purely a function of the hotel being new. I booked a room that was supposedly larger and more spacious than the standard room, and on check-in the front desk staff made a point of saying that I'd been given a "spacious"room. It was on a corner of the hotel, but spacious in a space-useable way it was not. The room opened into a small foyer area that then led past a pretty small bathroom into the sleeping area. The room was extremely narrow, and it was as if everthing had been squeezed into the reduced space. The overall feel of the room was awkward and not terribly pleasant. I was placed on a very low floor of the hotel and the street noise from outside was significant. At times it seemed there was no glass in the windows, the noise from outside was so acute. As noted, the bathroom was far from spacious, and although new, the paint was already pealing from the ceiling of the bathrrom and there was also a stain on the ceiling. It was not impressive. This, combined with the overall cramped and awkward layout of the alledgly "spacious" room, won't have me returning anytime soon. I've attached a photo of the floor diagram on the back of the door in the room I had, which shows the location/layout of this room. Perhaps based on square footage, the little foyer area adds space technically. But it seems more narrow than other rooms, and as noted, the foyer adds no useable space whatsoever. Pass on this room if you stay.
