Nice hotel - employees could be friendlier
Stayed here two nights before a tour and two nights after the completion of the tour. The hotel itself is nice and the room was comfortable. WiFi and use of their business center is not free - pricey by today's standards. The buffet breakfast was good and the staff in there was friendly. The staff at the front desk was rather icy. I stayed at the hotel with a friend. We each asked for a wakeup call our last morning. My friend received hers for her early flight but I did not. Luckily I woke up in time on my own. On the way out I mentioned to the front desk (older blonde woman) that I did not receive my wake up call as requested. She immediately raised her voice, got defensive, picked up a paper pointing saying that it was crossed off and it wouldn't have been if they hadn't called. Hmm. Well, I ought to know if the phone rang or not. That's just one example of the coldness we experienced from the front desk. Ignore them and you'll enjoy your stay.

Very pleasant stay!!
Had a very pleasant experience on a recent two night stay in this hotel. Room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful and pleasant throughout. Very close to the dart station. Only thing I felt bad was three euro charge per half hour for internet in the room.

Lovely place to rest and explore
Really great rooms! Nice hotel clearly old fashioned service and attention applies here! Got a great deal so made it even better! Staff great bit if a business stop over rather than tourist resort however tour bus was here primarily older American travellers! Safe area short walk to town or even quicker taxi ride! Another fines example if Ireland's hospitality!

Nice stay
We stayed in the Clyde court for one night while we were going to a show in RTE. On arrival we were asked if we wanted to upgrade to junior suite for another ¿¿¿20 - which we accepted! The room was massive and was really nice - you can tell that this is an older hotel (we had an old style phone in our bathroom) but generally the hotel is furbished in a nice modern fashion. We had some dinner in the hotel before we headed out for the evening, and that was tasty and well priced - we even had some unplanned entertainment of a loud drunk couple who were over in Dublin for a few days lol. Breakfast the next morning was grand - it was your typical set up of cereals and then a "serve-over" type breakfast. The hotel was packed to the rafters with tourists - Americans and English mostly which is great to see - it is a good base for tourists as it is very close to the city, in a nice part of Dublin and it is close to the Aviva if you are thinking about booking for a gig. The only off putting thing for us was that we had to pay for our parking, which I didn't expect. But at the end of the day at least you know the car is safe I suppose. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Living on past glories
A rather disappointing stay at this former iconic hotel. Main problem was air conditioning which didn't work despite the ministrations of one of the hotel clerks. This, combined with some very noisy kitchen vents outside the window - which meant leaving it open wasn't an option, led to a poor nights sleep due to too hot a room. Bedroom was clean but in need of an update - very old tv, no fridge and sockets for kettle in inconvenient place. Limited toiletries in bathroom (just shampoo - nothing else). Excellent breakfast (included). This hotel seems to be maintaining its 4 star rating on its former reputation (was the Berkeley Court) which is a pity as with a little work it could establish its own.
