Charming hotel in a great location

Very good, great location
I really enjoyed the stay in the hotel and would probably stay there again but it does not deserve the Excellent rating (check cons). Hotel is big, clean with welcoming reception that gives you map and advice about Rome. From the hotel you can get on foot to every attraction. Pros:Excellent locationGreat breakfast (good choice for vegetarians) wish freshly baked breads YUM!Amazing bathroom (including bidet!) and shower that fully closes to you don't flood the floorWindows that open which helps in the summerQuiet surroundingComfy bed and loads of storageCons:Only Italian TV channelsVery slow internet (this was a big disappointment as we were planing to organise everything from day to day but even simple pages with no pictures would take time to open)Overall if you think you will be out all the time (and don't need tv) and you don't mind using internet corner (provided in hotel) instead of wifi this hotel is awesome.

staff spoiling a great experience
We stayed in this hotel for four nights, great location, high quality rooms and decor, spotlessly clean in all parts but just one complaint why are the staff so sullen and miserable particularly at reception and breakfast? Their demeanour took the edge off what should and could have been a great stay!

Great location but don't accept room overlooking street
We stayed in this hotel on a friday, Saturday and Sunday night. We were in room 324 overlooking the street at the front of the hotel. We got perhaps 3 hours sleep on Friday night, there was a lot of foot traffic outside, the road runs from the Ponte Sisto to Campo de' Fiori and a lot of people use this route. We thought the noise would be less on Saturday night, but it was in fact worse as there is a bar across the road that played very loud music until about 2am, then a drunken row in the street woke us up again at 4am. We should have asked then to change rooms, but thought that surely it must be quieter on a Sunday night. Alas, the noise was every bit as bad as the 2 previous nights. Friends that stayed here with us, that had rooms overlooking the courtyard had no problem with noise and thought the hotel was lovely. Another couple staying with us changed rooms on the Saturday to a quieter room, only wish we did the same. The hotel is lovely and clean, service was good, but a wedding was held here in the courtyard on Saturday evening and we had to wait for a long time to be served in the bar. Although the rooms are spacious but basic, the bathrooms are positively luxurious. Breakfast was wonderful and the location of the hotel is brilliant for exploring Rome by foot.

Fab hotel, in a great location
We stayed there as a family in feb half term. Staff vey friendly, great hotel with such a good location to explore beautiful rome. Room sizes good, not too small and always cleaned. Breakfast good too. Would definitely return.
