Great service, fast check-in and helpful friendly staff. Location was perfect for Theatre and shopping. Self park next door was $28, the cheapest in the neighborhood. The room was as pictured, very clean and comfortable. The only problem was my navigation system had to search for Club Quarters, not The River Hotel. Then it kept saying "your destination is on the left" which was the river with the hotel on the right. I appreciated having the coffee machine in the room, other places I checked out no longer have them. Will definetly stay here again. Safe, pleasant, clean, quiet, in my price range.

My husband and I enjoyed our 4 day stay in Chicago much as a result of the River Hotel (aka Club Quarters, aka 75). We walked to locations of business and touring for 3 days, only once needing a taxi to a museum. The king bed room was large "enough" we didn't stay in the room much. The furnishing were very smartly and newly decorated with all the amenities we needed and wanted. The fitness room was very small but adequate. Customer service is there strong point but the moment you arrive. Nice restaurant with in and outdoor seating.

Just back from a quick trip to Chicago. We booked the 2 bedroom at the River Hotel. Wow. We loved it! I honestly don't think I will go anywhere else when staying in Chicago. The location was perfect and in walking distance to everything. The 2 bedroom was large enough for the 6 of us. The room was very clean and bedrooms spacious. The beds a tad hard but that didn't bother us, we are use to that. Pillows are super fluffy and soft! I do wish the bedrooms had doors on them. Loved the free internet! Water bottles provided on each floor was a nice touch. We will be back!

Espresso machine in the second floor lounge got me through a cold and damp Chicago spring business trip. Was also in Chicago for a conference and River Hotel was a nice, more affordable and handy boutique alternative to larger corporate hotels on Wacker Drive. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and I'm guessing lovely linens were pure cotton, because polyester blends make my skin crawl. Front desk folks were extremely helpful and dealt with my debit card situation graciously, which I really needed at check in after a long train trip from Denver. Service was excellent and doormen were good fun. I will definitely stay there again when I come back to Chicago, preferably during a warmer time of year, as it's the perfect location for the Riverwalk, catching the L, walking down to Millennium Park etc.

Located on Wacker Drive near the corner of Michigan Avenue, the River Hotel is very convenient to the Magnificent Mile heading north, State Street Shopping heading south, as well as the Art Institute and the Museum Campus on South Michigan Avenue. We stayed at the River Hotel, two nights, April 3rd and 4th, the final two nights of a week in Chicago. We had a beautiful view of the Chicago River and the cityscape. Interestingly, when we arrived at the hotel, we witnessed another guest energetically thanking one of the front desk staff for providing a hotel with such a great location. We found out during our stay, how right he was.Service is as important as location, and we received some outstanding service. First, it was comforting to have smiling housekeeping staff greet us when passing in the halls. It provided a sense of hominess as well as security. Not too busy with the assigned task to greet guests. Nice! Secondly, we had two concerns that needed addressed and Monica at the front desk was exceptional as was Roman to make sure our stay was of the highest quality. It was also encouraging to be able to have positive interaction with management including taking time to explain to me more about the hotel industry when I asked, which was helpful as I interact with students looking for information to make solid career choices.Finally, our room was very quiet, comfortable, well furnished, and was plenty roomy for the two of us with enough space to entertain a couple of guests. The free laundry facility was perfect after over a week on the road and coupled with filtered bottled water available on each floor, a clean exercise facility, and a very good restaurant, the additional amenities enhanced the value of our stay. This was our first visit to a great city of Chicago and we were fortunate to stay at the River Hotel. The River Hotel provides excellent value for the location, service, and room comfort that it provides guests. We will definitely stay there again.
