Friendly and welcoming every time we return
The hotel is clean and modern with very welcoming and friendly staff. My husband, 2 children and I have stayed here on a number of occasions and have found the service to be very good. We have always had use of the club lounge being IHG priority members and the staff have been lovely and very accomadating of a 2 year old and a 6 week old baby. On previous occasions our comments had been taken into account and this was evident on this stay. The first time we stayed the club lounge had felt tip pens for children and white tables - not a good combo, we suggested crayons instead and also said in the crown plaza in dubai had games and dvds for the children to use, this time there were all of these things readily available. The position of the hotel is great for shopping, a 5 min walk to the arndale shopping centre and 2 mins to the printworks full of restraunts and cinema. We park in the printworks NCP car park as we have always found this more secure and is ¿¿15/day or ¿¿9/day unsecured (adjacent) as previous reviews have mentioned the area is a bit run down and rough looking. The rooms are very modern with all the acilities you would expect - shampoo etc and the beds are very comfy. Baby cots are available on request. The breakfast is ok but the sausages are rather herby and anemic looking!!

Great hotel and staff in a super location..!
I have been staying in this hotel during numerous business trips to Manchester since last November. I have always found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in the Northern Quarter of the city with it's many bars, cafes and restaurants. I have always enjoyed staying here and would recommend it to all.

Reasonable price for a high end room
Rooms were lovely, floor to ceiling windows, comfy bed, well stocked bathroom and tea/coffee facilities. Very clean and modern design. Front desk staff were very friendly. Bar was nice, let us take champagne glasses and ice to the room. Parking across the road was ¿¿9 for 24 hours - you just buy a voucher from the front desk. We were paying the same price as friends in a budget hotel on a particularly busy Saturday night and we were very glad we did - it made the stay something a bit more special rather than just a place to sleep.

Crowne Plaza Manchester
Modern hotel, located close to Printworks, Arndale, Harvey Nicks etc though area still looks a bit rough & ready. Was worred about the car parking (open air, directly opposite the hotel), given the amount of empty cider / wine bottles strewn around the car park, but car was fine - there is a covered NCP along the street too, which is an alternative option.Room compact, but well kitted out - linen / bathroom / bedding all spotlessly clean and high quality - floor to ceiling windows in the room are a nice touch, though view is a work in progress (lots of development & building work nearby). Nice desk / tv area, though a few extra freeview channels on the TV would be good.Staff on reception were faultless, didn't use the bar or restaurant for dinner as plenty options nearby. Breakfast slightly dissapointing though - service again was good, but a lot of the hot items were dry from sitting under the hotlamps.Overall, handy location, pleasant and good value so would use again.

Love love love. You'll fall in love with the trendy rooms. The bar is good too and not overly expensive. Great location - not slap bang in the middle of all the action but close enough. Highly recommended for a trendy break from the norm.
