Convenient for Wembley Stadium
After I got over a slightly awkward check-in (the right information wasn't forthcoming so I had to ask a lot of questions), I go to my room which was luckily at the back as this hotel is on one of London's busiest road junctions! Good to be looking out onto trees and green space as opposed to about 5 lanes of traffic! I had a Club room which was small with a standard double bed but very well equipped (apart from no biscuits!). Bathroom was good with separate power shower enclosure - bit dark though, which is probably not a bad thing at my age! Couldn't open the window (despite signing the health & safety disclaimer at reception!) - it just wouldn't budge. The guy who came up with the key did say for me to contact reception (presumably with a view to changing rooms) but I decided to stay put as I was only there for one night.I spent an hour in the gym which had a good selection of equipment but no daylight, windows or fresh air (though it did have air cooling).The bar and restaurant were below ground so little natural light or fresh air again. Some outdoor tables were available which looked tidy. I had the 'catch of the day' from the bar menu which was tasty and reasonably good value especially as I had two complimentary drink vouchers.I went up to the Club lounge which was brighter and spent the rest of the evening reading from the selection of newspapers and magazines.Breakfast was good (but expensive if not included in your room rate). It had all the essentials without there being too much to chose from!Checkout was friendly and efficient. Overal the hotel was spotlessly clean and well maintained but could benefit from free wifi (I was told this would be available later in the summer).

When it's good it's very good...
...and the opposite too.The location was perfect, being no more than 20 seconds walk from the exit of Hanger Lane tube station. And even though our room was at the front over a main road, the traffic noise wasn't that noticeable. The room itself was excellent - very comfy beds, an excellent bathroom with a good shower and a view of Wembley stadium in the distance. The only downside was the telly, which was somewhat on the small side in comparison to what you might expect and with the ends of the picture chopped off.The staff at reception were friendly and welcoming, but most of our issues were with the bar/restaurant downstairs. We went for a snack on the first night, and despite being the only people waiting to be served at the bar were kept waiting for well over five minutes. We decided to have breakfast the next morning, but really shouldn't have bothered. At nearly ¿¿18 it was considerably overpriced. There wasn't enough butter for one - never mind two - and my cup was missing a teaspoon. The food wasn't up to much either. The eggs were cold yet overcooked, whilst the potatoes were very much undercooked.We'd ordered an alarm call and newspaper for the Sunday morning, but neither were forthcoming. Yet the day before we'd got not one but two alarm calls. It's this inconsistency which lets the hotel down, despite having some outstanding attributes.

Weekend Away
Just got back from a weekend away with friends staying at the Crown .Plaza Ealing with it's close proximity to the Ace Cafe London. This hotel is faultless,Staff are friendly & polite nothing is to much trouble for them. cleaniless is excelent / decor is cotempory modernistic/ location 2 minute walk to the underground/comfort/ facilties are all you would expect from this chain.Any questions feel free to contact me

Superb hotel
My wife and I stayed at this hotel as we were attending an event at Wembley Stadium. We were given a warm welcome by reception the minute we walked in. The room was a club room and was immaculate and I must say having stayed in many hotels had the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in - even beating my bed at home !!! The facilities were superb the food marvelous and the club lounge was great. The price included a complimentary continental breakfast which was also second to none. I would recommend this hotel to anyone without hesitation. It was my first stay at a Crowne Plaza but certainly not my last.Trevor Morgan.

Great spot
What an excellent hotel in a great spot for tripping into London.A spit from the new shopping Mall at White City (if that's your thing) but a fast tube into London proper too. The gym facilities were very good and the rooms immaculate. The staff were friendly and accommodating. It was very quiet.We registered then parked around the corner (after 4 its unrestricted until 9 in the morning - weekends are unrestricted) on a side street. The hotel has a car park which is 12.50 a day and that offers decent value. We used that on our final day.But the best thing about this hotel is it's proximity to Hangar Lane tube station. Less than 5 minutes walk.
