We were given an early check-in, so there wasn't any line. The process was quick, and the staff friendly.We upgraded to the remodeled resort rooms and it's lovely. Very comfortable bed and nice linens. We were on an upper floor over-looking the pool, so it was quiet with a nice view.The casino is VERY tight and small. After losing a QUICK $100, we went to the other hotels on the waterfront and ending up doing very well there. We ate breakfast in their restaurant and it was good, lunch wasn't all that great.I would stay there again, but gamble elsewhere.

We stayed here during our sporting tournament. The doors don't close, they slam VERY loudly no matter how hard you try to close them softly as not to disturber others. Our room also was at the end of the hall, where we thought it would be much more quieter. Boy were we wrong. The stairwell was next to our room and when people were using it, it would echoed in our room keeping us up all night. The non smoking room are a joke. The smell was unbearable. Even in the casino area the smoke smell was heavy when compared to the other casinos we visited. And if your over 5' tall the shower becomes relatively useless. My husband at around 6' had to duck to get into the "shower cubby", and the shower head came just to his shoulders. The shower head was incrusted with mineral buildup which seemed to make for low water pressure. Also there is no fan in the bathroom so it turns into a sauna very quickly. And you can hear your neighbors when they are using their bathroom. The beds are VERY soft. I had to hook my leg to the outside of the bed as not to roll into the divot my husband made in the bed. (he is not a heavy guy either) Unfortunately, we will not be staying here if we come back to Laughlin.

There are no great resorts here, but this hotel is clean and the "resort rooms"have been redone.Parking is easy and is covered so it helps in the summer heat. An excellent steak house in the resort. The casino can get very busy. Not a very good arcade for kids. An adult must be with kids 18 and under in the arcade.

Hi all! We just got back from a 2-night stay at the Tropicana Express in Laughlin NV. We were there for the big Cinco De Mayo block party they were sponsoring, and let me tell you, for the amount of people they had attending everything ran so smoothly, from check-in at the hotel to cocktail service in the casino. Our room was clean, with a very comfy bed and plenty of hot water and good pressure in the shower. We even had a small one-cup coffee maker in the room. The band in the Caboose Lounge was rockin' it both nights, and drinks were very reasonably priced. We were a little leery at first because this hotel is across Casino Drive from the rest of River Walk, but it was just a short walk and we were back on the river. I can't comment on any of the restaurants, though, as we didn't eat there. In-'n' Out Burger is right across the parking lot lol. The pool area was very nice, with 2 Jacuzzi tubs and lots of towels. I has one drawback, though. In the afternoon, it's too shaded from the hotel tower and that blocks out the sun. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!

This is my first review on any site and its only because of how horrible this place is. Front desk had a very long wait for check in but the staff was very friendly. After you leave the front desk completely different story. Went to the room and found that the AC did not work. I mean seriously how in the Hell do you have a hotel in the middle of the desert without a working ac unit?!? The TV's are old and way outdated but that isn't an issue as long as I can flip on sports center no worries, however the tv was also broken. Called the front desk and was told someone would be up to fix the tv and a/c so I headed down to the casino to see if I could change my luck.Played for about 30 minutes on the craps table and never saw a waitress, dealers were all quiet and you couldn't start a conversation with them to save your life. I asked the dealers and pit boss if they could send a waitress over and was told, "She will be around in a minute." It took another 20 minutes for her to show up. I was about even on cash and with the bad staff I walked across the street and played elsewhere. When I returned to my room the a/c was running but only blowing "cool" air it was like fan not an ac unit. The tv was still broken and when we flushed the toilet it began to overflow. Called the front desk to report the toilet problem and they offered me two free buffet tickets because of all of the trouble with the room. They also sent someone to fix the toilet and clean up the bathroom. At this point I decided I would just call it a night.The next morning we headed down to the buffet for our free meal. We got the buffet right as it opened with the hopes that everything would be fresh and we could put this horrible experience behind us. Wrong again.......the food was cold as if it had been sitting out for hours the only bright side was they had an omelet station. I planned on checking out and staying until lunch before heading to Las Vegas but with this overall horrible experience we made the trip a little earlier. The only bright side of the entire time that I spent here was the moment that I left and saw the place in my rear view mirror. I am so glad that I only booked this place for one night even that turned out to be one night too many. Best advise RUN FROM THIS PLACE!!!!
