We stayed here for 2 weeks end of April and beginning of May. There were good and bad points to the hotel. Ill start with the good.Nice, clean pool area, it was never too busy. Plenty of towels (though they were a little tired).Pleasant staff. (In particular the manager Scott who managed to shuffle the rooms around to get us a king size bed)Very good price - we had a great last minute deal.Free wifi though there was no signal for this at the pool, just in the room.Fridge in the room.Room size was generous.Plenty of ice machines and vending machines.Very close to Disney and lots of restaurants within walking distance.Now onto the bad parts,It was noisy, we were frequently woken by other guests, I had to go out on 2 separate occasions to ask guests to quieten down. On 1 occasion we had a coach outside beeping the horn - this was at 8am! I realise these aren't exactly the hotels fault, however it's worth noting as the room doors open outside - motel style. Coaches arriving very early in the morning or late at night were also a pain as all of the guests checked into their rooms, more noise outside. Housekeeping - they woke us up on more than one occasion, the worst being on our check out day when they woke us up at 8:45 to find out when we would be leaving?! We had a night flight back to the UK so we were very upset to be woken, we had a long drive once back in the UK so had intended on sleeping in. I did bring this up with the manager at check out though and eh offered us a free late check out which was kind of him, however as I was already awake and grumpy I declined and we headed out to Disney for a few hours.On check in we were given a voucher for a 'free info pack', we didn't want or need it but the guy on the door insisted that we go to the information desk to get it, all they really wanted us to do there was go for a timeshare talk, I found that really unprofessional of the hotel to let it happen in their reception.The towels were a little tired in the rooms as well as the pool towels, they were also super tiny! I guess to discourage guests stealing them. The AC unit was quite noisy.For us who came for a 2 week visit there weren't enough hangers in the wardrobe, it was easily fixed by us who went out and bought more at Walmart. But this is being extra picky, it didn't really matter.All in all we would stay here again if looking for another last minute trip as you really couldn't fault the hotel for the price and with nice staff to book what more could you need. I would recommend this hotel to other who were on a budget but wanted somewhere clean and comfortable to stay.

This is my second stay at this hotel and Its a nice place to stay. I will be staying there again in the future.Service is great and within walking distance of restaurants.They offer free shuttles tothe parks and the return times are good. The staff is very nice and room are cleaned daily.

This was our second stay in Lake Buena Vista at the Clarion Inn. It is a great location. The traffic on International Drive would make me NUTS! So if you want to avoid that mess, stay here on Palm Parkway. They offer shuttles to all parks. The Disney shuttle has a couple times to leave and be picked up. The Universal only has one, I believe and it is at 9:45. I would recommend getting a rental car for the day you go to Universal, you will want to arrive when the park opens. The rooms are nice. The bathroom, sink, refrig, and microwave are separated by the Sliding doors, which is nice when kids are still sleeping and you want to get a shower and ready. The toilet and tub are in a smaller, separately area, behind the sliding doors. The only thing that I wish was different is that the beds are doubles, not queens. It makes for sleeping a family of 4 tight. What we did is booked another room for 1 night, midway through our stay and this gave each of us a great night sleep, we all got to spread out. It was just enough to rejuvenate us. I paid $39.99 per night through Bookit.com (which is who I always use) and so paying for the second room for one night, was not hard on my wallet. The housekeeping came each day and our beds were tidy. The room was clean and dusted. The hairdryer in the room, broke on day one and they were there to replace it within 2 hours. There are two pools. One has the splash pad, which is ice cold, but the younger kids love it. The pools are nice and big too. They provide pool towels too, so you don't have to use your room towels. There is a restaurant there, but I have never used it. There is a Walgreens and a Walmart a close drive away and we bought snacks and breakfast food there. You can also walk just a 8-10 minute walk to a small collection of shops/eateries...including Hooters and CiCi's pizza. On the third floor there is self-serve laundry and I have used this both times. Wash takes 25 minutes, dryer is 45 minutes. Some others have complained about the high way noise, I do not mind the sound of the highway, as some do...to me it was minimal in the room(our room faced the pool and highway) Disney is just South and Universal is a 17 minutes drive north. If you are headed to the beach, we traveled to Cherie Down Park in Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach area twice and it is about a 50 minute drive each way. (There is free parking at that Beach, too! ) The girls at the counter are very nice and check-in was simple. They are a Disney Good-Neighbor Hotel, so they do sell tickets on site, but we used AAA already, so that service was not needed. I also emailed the hotel prior to our stay to see if they could arrange for the other family traveling with us to be placed in a room beside ours and we asked for third floor....they accommodated all of it! It is a nice hotel and the amenities are nice. Enjoy your stay here!

Best hotel I've stayed at for the price point. Only negative comment i have is that the a/c unit wasn't working when we got to out room but they swapped out the a/c unit within minutes which was great so all in all they're 100%.

I was pleasantly surprised. Only paid $38 a night using hotwire which was a steal. In exchange, we got a great location, relatively recent renovation, comfy bed, good cable, fridge, microwave and the fantastic feature of sliding doors that completely enclosed the bathroom sink area from the bedroom. I wish every hotel had this as it makes it possible to get ready in the morning without distrurbing someone else trying to sleep. Staff isn't the greatest as they gave our room to someone else at 1 am which woke me up as they tried to get in, and as a result rekeyed our room without letting us know, meaning we had to very nconveniently wait on line at the front desk to get new ones. Normally this would have really soured the experience but given the other benefits and super low price, the value offset this mistake. Wish the hotel had a gym though but I would definitely stay again if in the area and it was available at this price.
