Average at Best
The hotel is typical of a design of +15 years ago that offers a "reasonable" price for the property's amenities. Caution, if you do not like the smell of cigarette smoke you will want to look for another hotel as it hits you like a train as soon as you walk through the front entrance. The best atribute of the hotel is it's view of the adjacent Golf course and of course the Red Rock Mountains in the distance (if you happen to have a room facing North). Our room had a lovely view and is especially pleasent at sunset. The furnishings appear to be cheap and a little dated. The bed comfort was no better than sleeping at a Super 8 or La Quinta type property. The bath was spacious and clean. However, I will warn you of the pool. We stayed for three days and visited the pool everyday (only because of our kids) and it was dirty. The water was not only murky but the mucus and balls of hair floating was enough to disgust anyone. I do not recommend eating at the hotel if you have any desire to eat something that does not resemble a fast food restaraunt. Even still I would advise you to eat elsewhere as the food is over-priced and of poor quality. Overall, it's ok but I would not stay again.

One of Las Vegas best kept secretes.
Had to stay here for a business trip. My suite was so LOVELY!! I will stay here again for both business and pleasure. Christine the front desk agent was so friendly. The casino was clean and the gift shops have great customer service. My view from my suite was breath taking.

Great Room
I have stayed here twice and both times the rooms have been gorgeous. This trip I was lucky enough to get upgraded to a lovely suite. They were starting to fill up, and I was the lucky one chosen to get bumped up to a suite. The rooms are quiet, clean and well maintained. I don't gamble, so the casino is of no appeal, but people seemed to be enjoying themselves. All staff members were very courteous. The hotel is not located on the Strip, but it is not far away from good hiking at Red Rock Canyon and only 45 minutes to the top of Mt. Charleston. Mid-week rates are extremely good. They provide airport shuttle between certain hours.

Poor Casino Rewards
As a "locals" type casino and hotel , you would expect their players card program to be at least on par with other properties in the area. Unfortunately , they have chosen to tighten up all comps and just use their program as a way to gather info and basically give nothing back.Players will do much better at the neighboring Rampart Marriott property next door , which is also a little higher end , service and property wise . As soon as we signed up they offered us a free buffet and it only went up from there.

A nice property off the hustle and bustle of the strip
If you enjoy Las Vegas, but are over the tra ffic and insanity of the stip this might be a good alternative. Located in the North/West corner of the city in an uspscale community called Summerlin, the Suncoast offers most of what people come to Las Vegas for. The rooms are quite spaciuos and reasonably priced, there is a moderately sized casino offering a nice variety of slots and table games , there is a smaller sized show room, a multi screen movie theater and a bowling alley. Restaurants include the typical Vegas buffet, a cafe and a few sit down dinner spaces. In the immediate area there are facilities for the golfers and for the ladies, shopping. Its not the Bellagio, Caesers or the MGM, but for the price, I dont think that you could go wrong
