Okay, better than the Crowne Plaza...
I've been looking for an alternative to the CP in White Plains. Somewhere that doesn't give me the crappy short, middle-aged lady room at the end of the corridor on whatever floor HASN'T been renovated - you know, the one where the hallway smells like broccoli and the two double beds crowd the room. Oh, yea, and the desk chair is 6 inches off the floor, which wouldn't matter if I weren't (wait for it) a short middle-aged lady. I'm going to have to wait one more time for that hotel, because the Residence is close but not there. I stayed last week when the air-conditioning system was being replaced and my lovely, spacious suite was hotter than hell. Okay, that will never happen again, but Dear God what was on the bed? I don't think I've ever seen a mattress slope like that before. And amusingly, they mis-charged me $30 the second night when it was even hotter in my room. I think it was the sauna surcharge. Never the less - fantastic customer service, a nice location, super workstation, awesome amenities...I'll just sleep on the sofa.

Nicest hotel staff anywhere.
This is the second time I stayed in this hotel. I brought my daughter with me and she asked if this was the hotel with the "really nice guy" at the front desk. When we checked in, it was a different man at front but every bit as nice. The room was huge and pretty clean. Every single staff member was gracious and friendly. The man from hospitality was prompt and refused a tip. The lady in the breakfast room was pleasant and friendly. The only negative is the mattresses for the bed are ridiculously uncomfortable. Despite this, I will absolutely stay here again.

Excellent value
My wife and I found the service at the Residence Inn in White Plains to be excellent. The room was a really good size and very clean. They have a buffet breakfast, where you can make your own waffles, all included in the room rate, as well on on site, free parking. Really convenient located if you want to do day trips to Manhattan.

Great hotel
I love this hotel. It's convenient for me when I'm doing business outside of NY. The staff is super friendly and the rooms are clean and roomy. You can't beat the fresh black and white cookies in the lobby everyday either. On site parking is a plus too and pretty reasonable for the price.

Great value if you need to stay in White Plains.Walking distance to everything in downtown. Ample parking. Large rooms. Clean rooms. Friendly service.At this price point, you can't find a better stay in White Plains.
