Last year, for a trip to the Joliet area, I stayed at the Comfort Inn just north on I-55 at Romeoville. This year I was just passing through town and needed a stay at a Choice Hotels property to earn a free night. I chose to spend a little more money and not drive out of my way and opted to stay here for the night. The property is undergoing some interior renovations, but my room was clean. The wi-fi worked very well, my room had a microwave and refrigerator, and the shower water pressure was adequate. I found the beds to be a bit uncomfortable, however, and the breakfast wasn't as good as a lot of other Comfort Inns where I've stayed.There are several restaurants in the area, including Taco Bell and Steak n Shake that are adjacent to the hotel and within walking distance.The smoke smell mentioned by other reviewers was not an issue.I'm giving this hotel an overall 3 out of 5 (average) but I wouldn't have any real reservations about staying here again should I be passing through Joliet and need to stay at a Choice property to earn points toward a free night.

Quiet hotel, up to date and clean. Night staff seemed a little overworked. Bought expired ice tea when i brought it back got looked at like I'm weird. No refunds until next day so i had too get a different drink because all ice tea was expired. Go to breakfast early, at 830 there was almost no breakfast left even that breakfast is supposed to be until 900. But all in all the hotel was nice and clean with a pool and small exercise room.

We stayed on the first floor 2-bed suite which had two beds and a pull-out couch, frig, microwave, table and desk. The room was perfect for three people. This room was very convenient to the lobby and easy access to the pool and to a bathroom across the hall which made it nice for three women getting ready in the morning! The motel is not luxurious, but certainly provides your money's worth. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was adequate - eggs and sausage one morning and eggs and biscuits & gravy the next for the hot foods. There was the usual waffle iron and plenty of cereal, oatmeal, breads, donuts, juice and coffee. The pool and hot tub were nice and clean. The free wireless was a plus. It was a very pleasant two-day stay.As a side note, they were replacing a lot of the carpeting on the second floor so there was some noise during the daytime hours, but not really that bad. We were pretty much on the go and it is nice to know that these places update themselves periodically!

yes very nice and friendly service , housekeeping kept the room clean and fresh, pool was clean warm and a very lighted room ,,,had a nice quiet night , !!! had a nice breakfest in the morning , way to go comfort inn great visit for my money ..................

We reserverd a non-smoking room - and got it. But it didn't matter! As soon as you walk through the front door of this property, you start to hold your breath, because the stench of cigarette smoke is so strong. We checked in, and went around the corner to the elevator...the stench was still there - strong - and current (people were smoking right then!) When we got to our "NO SMOKING" floor, we could still smell the smoke. We walked past some rooms from which the stench was emanating at that time.Our room was comfortable, and smoke free...or we would have absolutely left. THIS PLACE - AND THE STATE - NEEDS TO PASS NON-SMOKING POLICES FOR INDOOR AIR SPACES. I won't go back again.P. S. Others were complaining as we were checking in. They're not coming back, either.
