3-star service for 2-star price!
To our surprise we have discovered that The hotel is undergoing an "upgrade renovation" - most rooms are just renovated and we got such one. All brandnew, clean laundry and big flatscreen TV. Breakfast was continental type, sattisfying our vegetarian requests.

A real pleasure, lovely staff, clean comfy rooms
A really lovely hotel, the staff were so sweet, particularly the night shift man, i forget his name but he was a delight to talk to. The rooms were immaculate, there were 6 of us in total so we had 3 rooms and each one was super comfy and clean. Cannot fault it. The ONLY reason i couldn't give 5 stars was the thin walls. I think sounds travels pretty easy through thin walls and unfourtunaltey one morning my friend was woken by other guests going up and down the stairs, which is louder if they're dragging suitcases too. Also, couldnt get a nice big cup of tea but thats no big deal. All in all, i highly reccomend. AMAZING chocolates just down the road too. Plus really easy, quick transport into the city centre which works out pretty cheap if you get a 24 hour/weekly pass.

Well worth it!
Just spent 4 nights with my wife here. Spotlessly clean, friendly, helpful staff, hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment..A very pleasant 20 minute walk through Vondelpark gets you right into the city. Beware, there is no lift and the stairs are almost vertical! Local places to eat are a bit thin on the ground but we found the Grand Cafe Willemspark, 150 meters away, very good for food and drink. And you can still smoke inside in a separate area.

Home-like hotel in Amsterdam
I stayed here with my mom for 4 nights and it was a very nice experience! The staff was friendl and the rooms were clean. There was a good access to the central Amsterdam by taking tram from the tram stop nearby. The tram lines pass the hotel, so the trams go almost 24h. If you wake up very easily, the trams might wake you up during the night. I personally sleep so tight that I don't know how noisy the trams actually are. It also depends on where your room is. But in general: super nice hotel, I totally recommend.

my opinion
This hotel has not bad location. The staff is very good and can speak russian . Please note , that the hotel has not elevator . I suggest to use the bus 197 and the tram ¿¿¿2 for travelling to airport. The web site of hotel has not info about travel from airport to hotel.
