Nothing negative to say
We stayed one Saturday night while over at a dance competition in Hackensack. Desk staff was quite pleasant as we arrived around 12:30 to check in. The hotel inside and outside was clean and the landscaping was kept up. The room was fairly large, very clean and I didn't find anything to complain about. The beds were actual queens and not full sized. Mattress was comfortable, the pillows were a little lumpy but I slept pretty good. Besides on on the desk, we had 2 extra outlets on one wall. conveniently next to a small table that could hold our electronics. Our TV did work, but we barely used it anyway. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time in the morning for breakfast, but it looked like they had out a decent variety of breakfast danish, cereals, scrambled eggs and sausage. I did grab some coffee and a cinnamon danish which were both really good. This hotel is not overly modern, but I didn't need it to be in order to serve our needs. We've stayed in a good number of hotels while traveling for competitions, and I wouldn't hesite to book this hotel, or any other Holiday Inn Express again.

Great location to skip
We stayed at this hotel because of location and past experiences at Holiday Inn Express in other cities. From the start we should have been suspicious. The lobby was small & dark although the staff was warm & welcoming. This hotel needs an overhaul. The beds were comfortable but carpets looked old and in need of a good shampoo. The bathroom was small but the shower was good. We also heard the traffic from our room. The breakfast was really not great. We won't return to this hotel, for sure. It will also make me investigate further Express bookings.

A solid 3 Star motel
We arrived at the Motel just after a 16 hour grueling international flight on rocks for seats (Air India). Arriving at just after 12 they were not ready for customers as official check-in is the standard 3pm. Their pleasant response was "Please give us 20 minutes and we'll have your room. There is hot coffee in the breakfast room". They were better than their word. The room was ready, quiet as promised and in complete working order. The people care from the front desk to the people who keep the rooms in order. Parking was good even allowing me to parking my full size pickup truck. The only downside of location is that one can drive past it before finding it. It is the first turn-off after entering the 17 from the 4. Breakfast has all the normal continental fair plus good bacon, pancakes, hash brown patties and scrambled eggs; All good. We were so satisfied we stayed another night to recover from our journey.

The old ones still hang on
This is a old Holiday Inn Express. Rooms are not bad but but old style. Not enough outlets for today's electronics. The TV was nice when it worked. The front desk said it was since they changed to a new vendor for the TV. I think it was just the TV in my room since the TV in the breakfast area worked fine. No CNN channel in the room but it worked in the breakfast area. Had problem with drain and it finally got corrected but 2 days after I mentioned it. I guess I am use to having everything good at a Holiday Inn Express and this place just did not meet my expectations. On top of all that the price went from 123.00 a night to 133.00 a night. Lots of money for a place like this.

Never Disappoints
I have stayed at this hotel twice for business trips in last couple of months and will continue to stay here. The staff is excellent and friendly. The hotel is clean and always quiet. The breakfast area is always stocked well and not crowded. I will stay at this hotel every time I am in the area!
