What is TripAdvisor?

Good enough.

We visited this hotel at the end of April.Getting there from schiphool is very easy.Red bus 197 has a,stop just in front of the airport arrivals area....

Good enough.

We visited this hotel at the end of April.Getting there from schiphool is very easy.Red bus 197 has a,stop just in front of the airport arrivals area.4 euro a ride per person. You can pay in the bus.The last stop (about 35 minutes ride) is Marnixstraat bus station which is a bustterminal about 300 - 400 meters from the hotel.The staff are very friendly and helping.Hair dryer is at the reception, if you need it.The wifi is slow but free (password is Amsterdam).Rooms are being cleaned daily.Our room had some weird dent on the floor. Like covered hole or something. A bit noisy.Also on upper floors, be carefull when exitting the elevator, the stairs are very close to the exit.Breakfast is ok. No bacon though :(Albert heijhn super market is really close so you can buy stuff on sain prices (including cheese).Location is very nice.Overall - would stay again.

Short week in Amsterdam

The hotel is located very good, within 10-15 minutes walking distance to many of the centrally located point of interest. Room was quite small and standard was poor. Service was average with a decent breakfast included in price. Price was interesting, Monday to Wednesday was quite good price but on Thursday it nearly tripled compared to Monday. I may stay there once more due to the location and if getting a good price per night, not the experience of the hotel as such.

Enjoyable stay clean rooms nice area.

Based on 2 lads just looking for a Little get away this was a Nice hotel with friendly staff rooms where clean and bathroom/showers were alright aswell nothing to complain about to be honest breakfast was okay nothing spectacular but nice hotels in a nice area not far from everywhere you could want the best way to describe the rooms in the hotel are like a nice premier inn hotel if that helps defintley would reccomend to friends and would return. Thanks for a nice stay

good location but 3stars?

bus 197 from schipol<4euros> to the marnixstraat bus station is just around the corner from this hotel.5 minute stroll from leidseplein and max 30 minutes anywhere else,i found this location ideal to see a different part of amsterdam.the jordaan/'nine little streets' areas are full of 'trendy' type places along with some of the more 'trad' bars.eastern european hotel staff spoke perfect english.they were friendly and efficient.everything worked in my room,which was small but adequate.did'nt eat breakfast there.preffered nearby cafes.quite what the difference between 2 and 3 stars actually is becomes blurred in small,city centre hotels.it was,however,clean,convenient and functional.ideal for a walk around town and at a price that prompted me to visit amsterdam ,again!there is also a 'city tax' of 5.6euro for my 3night stay.

Just what we wanted

This hotel was clean, comfortable and in a good location. The three main things we wanted from a hotel. It was an easy 20 mins walk from Centraal station (and RLD). Because its in a somewhat residential area,a few mins from the centre of everything its fairly quiet at night. As somebody else mentioned the walls are pretty thin and you can hear other people but we didnt find this to be a problem at all and we barely saw any of the other guests. WiFi was free (password was amsterdam).
