Very central
I stayed here recently for one night with two friends. We travelled from the airport to the hotel on the metro. The hotel was situated on a side street in between two metro stops (both different lines). It was literally opposite. The hotel served its purpose. It was clean, comfortable, friendly staff and central. The room was a good size, three of us sharing. The breakfast was adequate.On the main street by the hotel is a newspaper stand where you can buy tickets for the tour bus. There are two routes. It was about 6 Euro each and well worth doing. We got off after doing one route and had a drink sitting outside a bar on one of the plazas.

Served its purpose
We just wanted a cheap stopover for a good nights sleep before travelling to Toledo and that is what we got.The hotel is in a good location 2 mins from Gran Via and theatres, it is 10 mins from puerto del sol.The room was clean and comfortable, it had black out blinds which helped with a good nights sleep.

Business or Pleasure?
I have stayed at this hotel several times with my partner, for business reasons, and also for leisure.The staff always seem to remember us, which is very nice and look after us extremely well.Nothing is too much trouble, always very professional and courteous.Good WIFI connection, very near to the metro, but situated in a quieter area a little behind the Gran Via, but only a short walk to everything.Clean and comfortable rooms, maybe not the biggest of rooms but more than adequate, and always very clean which is more important I think!We will use this hotel again, as we have done so many times in the past - you know what you are getting every time.

Extremely cost effective simple no thrills and clean
I booked the hotel by chance relying on the BW name. The hotel is very good situated near the Plaze de Espania where there are many metro lines to all Madrid. The hotel is extremly looked after clean cozy and comfiortable. However it is very simple - small rooms , small cafetria with modest size - but sufficient - breakfast . All said and done for the price paid it is a VERY COST EFFECTIVE. However if you look gfor more like bar, swimming pool , fitness ,atmosphere, etc go to Four starts. This is an extremly xclassical 3 stars - One comment - sometime flushing of toilets in one room are heard in another

back to the 70' s & noisy
Perfect location, friendly staff, clean, wifi OK. But, .... the room was really small and because it laid at the street side there was a lot of noise coming from the young people in the street as well as from toilets flushing and bath taking from others guests. 70's look - there was obviously not much changed since the start.
