OK hotel convenient location
Through a tour booking had two separate stays at the hotel. Beds were clean and comfortable bathing a challenge as water temperature erratic. The room at the front of the hotel actually had large cracks along the walls and window. Repairs were mildewed caulk. very difficult to control heat in the room along the front. NO Thermostat fortunately the wall cracks and the open window helped bring in cooler air. Breakfast buffets standard irish breakfast and included fruits, cereals, ands yogurt. restaurant staff not particularly attentive. Concierge desk ( bellman) were lovely. The hotel looks a bit like a 70's airport Hilton. I agree with the Soviet style hotel description. Not a hotel I would choose but ok for night.

Mixed feelings
We had a conference in the hotel and all was prepared very well by the hotel staff.I was staying on the 3rd floor, which is refurbished and went through an update.Room was ok, clean and the bed was fine as well. The hotel is very noisy and you can easily hear your neighbors ;(Other rooms on other floors were a bit worn out.Conference rooms and responsible staff were excellent, friendly and pro-active.Food was not very nice, but i have to admit that i'm spoiled and making lunch for 500 + persons is a bit of a quest.

Soviet Era Tourist Hotel - sans babuschkas
Stayed a week at the Burlington for a conference. The hotel is an '80s Soviet structure which they have tried to make antique on the inside and only succeeded in making it a bit dowdy. Facilities are a bit funky. No luggage rack despite calling. Shower was uncontrollable and scalding the first morning and freezing the second. But they did fix it. We had a lovely view of the airconditioning plant, which was about all we got out of the aircon. Luckily the window operated, so we did not completely roast.The breakfast was OK. The lunch buffets served at the conference were pretty good for hotel conference lunches in US/Europe. The bar was quite large and open, actually confortable in a spartan way. The staff was friendly and helpful. The free WiFi was decent bandwidth but had drop-outs. The conference spaces were OK, the small ones actually had windows and the large ones had high enough ceilings that we did not feel trapped in a fluorescent cave.I am not anxious to go back, but would not shrink in horror if I had to.

Love The Burlington!
This was my second stay at this hotel. Close to city center by bus or walking. Very helpful staff, clean rooms. Hotel bar is spacious with great food. Free wifi. Big tv screens in bar. Breakfast buffett, 24 hour room service. They gave us tour tips and pub tips. Always had taxis waiting out front if you needed them. Big lobby with a fireplace. Wonderful establishment.

Very dated hotel
Stayed in the hotel in April. Was really looking forward to my stay, being one of the most renowned hotels in Ireland. Bar and reception was very nice but the room was like a big B&B. Charged for parking & poor wifi speed & reception. For the cost of the stay I would expect better.
