Great value
Stayed here in May 2013 and was very happy with the choice. Some of the criticism of the hotel in other reviews are valid - you're only given 30 minutes of free wifi per day and it does get very expensive if you go over that. However, what do people expect when they're paying such low prices? 3 nights cost me and my girlfriend 135 euro in total, which is less than what 3 nights in dorm beds in a hostel would have cost us. At a rate like that, are people really complaining so much about having a small-ish room (though I've certainly stayed in smaller, and it was perfectly clean) and only 30 minutes of free wifi?Hotel is in a nice area, very close to Kurfurstendamm and other parts of the old West Berlin. It's a bit away from Mitte, but at the same time is also very close to Zoologischer Garten station, which makes getting around the city very easy. The staff were very impressive and helpful any time we had a query and while we didn't end up trying the food, the restaurant and bar areas seemed very nice.To sum up, if you buy the cheapest rooms then you can't expect 5-star luxury, but this was a very good place overall and I don't know if I've ever got better value from a stay. Recommended for those on a budget.* one small criticism I would include is that we didn't have a 'do not disturb' sign to hang outside our door - this would have been very helpful to prevent housekeeping staff knocking and opening the door at 8:15am on one of the days.

Never Again!!!
A perfectly dreadful hotel experience! Decent location and updated but smallest room I've ever seen.....no space for a luggage stand and not enough floor space to open both of our suitcases. Not a single drawer and a small "closet" only half height tall. Good bed but awful light. Wifi supposedly free 30 min/ day(huh?), but even that turns out to be usable in only one session AND on a 24 hour basis, not a calendar day. Amazing. 4 free computers in lobby but one broken. Staff even worse....No ice bucket or ice maker. Ask for ice at bar and you get one small glassful. My husband was told he couldn't even have that as the boss was around.....huh? again. And then there's the buffet breakfast.....worst we had anywhere.....the usual semi-raw bacon and poorly scrambled eggs, but the rest of the assortment was pretty blah as well. There are FAR better places to stay in Berlin (e.g., see my review of Park Plaza Wallstreet where we moved to get out of here) that are no more expensive than this awful placel

Breakfast of Champions!
We stayed here a few years back and we enjoyed it. The room was a decent size compared to many I have stayed in. The bed is enormous so plenty of rolling around room. The breakfast was mighty, probably the highlight! It is buffet style with about 5 chefs, the area where the food is, is the size of many small restaurants. The variety was fantastic, every from poached eggs to crepes and most of it prepared in front of you. The price was very reasonable, we stayed 5 nights and have no complaints. The Zoo is a 2 minute walk, as is the tube and bus stops are all along the road outside. The restaurant at night serves up some tasty dishes too. A nice hotel.

Not Average, Good
We've been several days in this hotel. Although the room looks a little bit small its because the bed is so big. After all, the room is OK. The quality sleep is good. The hotel is modern, with Air Condition. there's a kettle and stuff for making coffee/tea. There is a closet plus 2 shelves but people with big wardrobe will not find it suitable. The room is very clean and the bath is also in good quality. The hotel ask for 18EU breakfast (for person) but when we reached the hotel they offered us a 12EU breakfast deal which was quite reasonable. so don't tempt to take the 1st deal (don't pay more than 12EU). The breakfast was very good. The service was also very good, we got tips and helpful advises by the stuff. TMHO, A Good hotel, no matter what others write. The location is excellent.
