Good location/impersonal service
Good location near to the Termini station - very convenient for getting in/out of the city but also easy to walk to all the sites. The lady at reception didn't smile once but was efficient. We left our bags there as we arrived early, and when we came back in the evening our keys were ready and bags were in the room. The room was comfortable but we were kept up by the couple next door - walls are thin and we got to listen to their music and more when we were trying to sleep.

Not for families/The staff yelled at us
We are a family of five and the Welcome Piram Hotel left us feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable, especially after an eleven hour trip to get there. There were two hotel staff members that were just plain rude and clearly did not want us there. One woman actually told us to take less time at the front desk (this was within 30 seconds of seeing her a day after we requested two hotel keys for each room). Another woman was extremely angry that we checked out 45 minutes late and threatened us over the phone. (She was yelling.) I explained we were having difficulty getting all our children packed and agreed to pay the late checkout fee, without argument. Even so, the hotel kept calling our room to get us out. We were apologetic, but the hotel did not want to hear of it. The rooms were clean, however, the air conditioner in one room did not work. There were mixups with our rooms, despite booking a couple months in advance and we put up with them. No-one should ever have to feel unwelcome or worse, yelled at on their vacation. We travel all over the world, and cannot recommend this hotel if you are family. There are so many other fine choices in Rome.

Bad first impression
We arrived in Rome after a 9 1/2 hour flight. I had e-mailed that we would be arriving around noon before the 2:00 p.m. check-in time. I received a very courteous answer that they would try to have a room ready for us. When we arrived we were checked in by "Waldemaar" but he told us we could not access the room until 2:00 p.m. I protested and referred to the e-mail. He said e could get us a room right away for AN ADDITIONAL 50 EUROS. I told Waldemaar that we would wait! Finally a nice lady appeared at the desk and she was able to get us a room immediately. Other than one bad employee the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. There was a nice balcony outside our room. The hotel is within easy walking distance to Termini for public transportation. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Great deal, great location. Fun weekend with friends.
We stayed there for a great deal (price) found on groupon. The hotel is very well located, like 5 minutes away from the station and like 20 minutes waling from the Fontana di trevi.The staff is very friendly, very nice and luxuous looking hotel. Rooms are nothing fancy but if you're just there to sleep that's more than fine.The only bad memory is the breakfast and the diner.But overal very nice hotel, nice location and nice staff.

Just got back loved it
Why do people moan this is a lovely central hotel with a traditional interior with beautiful, mirrors and chandeliers . Bathroom small but who cares. Bed were comfortable and the rooms clean and got cleaned daily. There are 2 lifts so that's good. Breakfast is generous.and very filling. Location is brilliant easy for the station,metro, shops etc.I won't complain about anything, I found the staff very helpful and the porter opened the doors and carried our luggage to our room. But just a tip for others there is NO kettle in the room so after a hard days sight seeing no coffee :-( and the TV has only one English channel, but why watch tv when you in Rome !!!! .but otherwise this is the hotel for me on my return trip to Rome, location was brilliant.
