Decent choice for central location
Located 100 metres off the hectic Piazza Garibaldi, the San Giorgio is a sound choice if you want perfectly adequate, no-frills accommodation at a reasonable price. Clean, decent sized rooms have all the necessary items and reliable showers, provided you are not of large dimensions! Breakfasts included cereals, meats, cheese, eggs, together with a selection of rolls, cakes and croissants. Staff on reception are courteous and efficient. Although just off the main adjoining street there is some traffic noise due to paving stones, but this was not intrusive.Yes, this area may not be the cleanest and most welcoming in Naples, but it it provides ease of access to railway and bus stations, is walking distance to a variety of sights such as the Duomo and Via Tribunali, and there are a selection of restaurants on and just off the piazza. Central Naples may be hectic, noisy and congested, but it is certainly genuine and lived-in, and the longer you are there, the more you appreciate its unique characteristics.

Should be 2 star hotel
This hotel, has a great location, near the Napoli Centrale Station on Garibaldi Square, but also, maybe one of the most dirty and with more confusion of the turist places with a lot of beggers and illegal sellers.Inside the hotel, the room was very dirty,old, the shower was small and the noise isolation was none (i heard the guest upstairs plug in his iphone to charge...).The staff was very rude, particulary at breakfast where two staff members, stare at you as you eat, tell where to seat, complaint to you instead of explaining and think that everybody knows italian.The wifi was not free, except for the common computer that they had in the hall.Not worthy of a 3 stars superior as they claim...

2nd Trip just as fantastic
Lovely staff,central location,lovely scrambled egg for breakfast clean bedding clean room,I have difficulty faulting this hotel.The fact that it is so central means that you don't have to waste money travelling in to the centre for connecting trains to Pompeii etc.I admit that the Garibaldi area can look rough,but I have had trouble at Rome Terminal but never in Naples.Thankyou again to all the staff

Get what you pay for, ok location
Location is great to train station; if travelling form station to hotel for first time it is difficult to find if walking (I would get a taxi!).The room is very basic, but for the price you pay you can¿¿¿t expect any more. Bathroom is very grubby and dirty in places, very small and could do to be updated.Bedroom is clean and tidy, could not get TV to work, electrics are a bit wobbly so make sure things are turned off before you get an electic shock. A couple of the pictures and coat hanger on the walls are very loose and come off very easy. A handyman would be very useful!It is fine for groups of people or maybe on your own but not recommended if with your partner.Continental breakfast is very basic, toast, couple of cereals, ham, cheese, croissants, tea/coffee and orange juice. Hence only went down 2 out of 5 mornings.It has a very small bar which had no bottles of beer or larger just a handful of spirits. When enquiring about the bar being opened he said it was closed and this was only at 9.30pm.He did eventually try to find some beer from the cellar but when brought up it was warm so just gave up in the end.Most of the staff are helpful and will give you advice if needed.If never been to Italy before then beware of the hotel tax that you have to pay at the end of you staff especially if you think you have already pre-paid.

Easy and Great
Very easy and small Hotel. We spent the Honeymoon here. :)! The breakfast was avarage, the room was clean and small but kind. We recommend this place who like to the family feeling hotel. We spent the really beautiful time here!The area was exciting. We supopose trip: Amalfi, Capri, Pompei, Vezuv! Beautiful all place!
