Average Level, Good Value
When writing a review of a hotel, you should first think how much did you pay? Did you pay 25 or 250 euros per night? I paid 25 euros and was satisfied what I got.When arriving by train, the location is excellent. Only two hundred meters from railway station.Free breakfast was very basic, but you must remember it is a possibility, not an obligation.It's very likely that I come back when next time visiting to Naples.

Terrible hotel
I just came back from Naples where I stayed for 3 days at Ideal Hotel. Believe me, avoid this hotel! And I m really not a choosey person.Being an old building, for course one can¿¿¿t expect glamour, new furniture or shining rooms but at least you expect not to find:¿¿¿ Humidity and that smell specific for old buildings¿¿¿ Very small room, 2sqm x 3sqm, and I don¿¿¿t exaggerate. It fits the bed and a small table with a chair¿¿¿ Very small toilet. The toilet seat was to close to the wall making everything very uncomfortable. The shower cabin looked terrible. I was really afraid to take a shower.¿¿¿ Too cold in the room. We tried to adjust the radiator but no chance¿¿¿radiator wasn¿¿¿t working¿¿¿jus leaking on the floor. There fore for 3 nights I had to sleep in with extra cloths ¿¿¿ After the first night I woke up with bites all over my hand, legs and neck. Exactly the parts that were not cover with cloths¿¿¿so most probably; it was something in the sheets. ¿¿¿ When we checked-in, the very small TV was not working, there fore we asked the reception to fix the situation¿¿¿and guess what¿¿¿.they fix it after 3 daysThe only two good things :¿¿¿ Very close to the train station for the ones that intends to travel around Naples¿¿¿ The breakfast was better than a classic Italian one (small espresso and croissant)Some may say that because it is a cheap hotel you shouldn¿¿¿t ask for to much comfort. But I m sure that with the same amount of money, you can find better place. At least not to leave with itching.

Hotel Ideal was most...Ideal.
A friend and I stayed at Hotel Ideal for three nights. The location was excellent, the staff were friendly, and the room was clean. I was a bit concerned booking it based on previous reviews, however none of these problems that other reviewers wrote about proved to be an issue during our stay. Would definitely stay again. Great value for money.

Perfect for Budget-Conscious Traveller
I travelled to Italy with two friends of mine, staying in Florence, Amalfi, and finally, Naples. Our room at Hotel Ideal was the most spacious of all the places we stayed, and the most economical. The hotel is located very close to the main train station and to the bus stop that leads to the airport, which made for a very easy departure Saturday morning. The walk to the historical center of the city, where we ended up spending most of our two days, was easy and pleasant - about 25 minutes. The concierge spoke English, and was so helpful in providing us with maps, ferry times, bus information, and taxi arrangements. I figured sleeping would be a bit noisy given our proximity to the train station, but the heavy window shutters blocked out all the sound and all the light, and we slept like logs. There was free WiFi in our room as well as in the lobby, and a free breakfast that included everything from yogurt to ham to toast. All in all, this was great value for our money. While the accommodations aren't luxurious, they are clean, cute and completely exceeded our expectations. I definitely recommend this for budget-conscious travelers.

Terrible hotel
I was not particularly fond of this hotel. First there is so much construction outside that the views and the noise from the windows are horrible. No elevators and they put us on the 3rd floor. We have to make two trips to take our luggage up stairs. The rooms are small and the beds are hard. Would not recommend this hotel for longer than 1 night. I actually went outside to have a cigarette and they locked me out - took 15 minutes for someone to answer the door to let me back in.
