Small and cramped, but great service and breakfast
This small hotel was a little difficult to access off the busy Sepulveda, but the free valet parking compensated for that. Service was great, welcoming and helpful at all hours. Location was good - close to 405/10 interchange. Beds were good, but desk was uncomfortable and the desk chair so low that i had to boost up by sitting on a pillow (I'm 5'9" so not common for me). Breakfast was great - everything one needed. Coffee available 24 hours in lobby, plus in the room. I'd go again.

Christmas and New Year in LA
In order to settle my daughter at the UCLA I had the change to spend about two weeks at the Best Western Plus Royal Palace Inn and Suites. It is located not really in the aerea they call downtown but its location is fair good if you want to reach the Ocean and it is also quite suitable to move around the big city.Rooms were clean and confortable, the price was execellent. I also had the chance to stay one night extra for the same price. Breakfast, hot and cold was included and of good quality.Very helpful its staff.

A little gem in West LA.
Don't let the industrial looking street fool you. This is safe neighborhood, part industry and part residential very conveniently located off the 405 and just 10 minutes to LAX and about 15 minutes to the beaches of Santa Monica. You get so much for your money here, especially with the suite rooms which are only a few dollars more than a room with 1 king bed. Even if there are just two in your party, I would suggest booking a suite for all the extra space. There is a separate room which has a door to close for privacy. This room has a pull out couch, micro fridge and flat screen TV. There is a second flat screen TV in the main room, which also has 2 comfortable queen beds. Bathrooms are teeny tiny but modernized with granite counter and nice tiles. We've stayed here several times and are always pleased with the cleanliness of the place, friendly staff and free valet service. Yes, FREE, while almost every other property in the area charges up to 40 dollars a day. Continental breakfast is also included with the rate. Nothing very exciting, but it's enough to get the day started. The Jimmy Dean bacon, egg and cheese on biscuit and baby cinnamon buns are my favorites. If they're not out, ask for them! Healthier options include instant oatmeal, yogurt and fresh fruit.

Never again !
It was the worst hotel experience I had in California. I spent 6 nights there (5 in the room 253 ; 1 in the room 155).You can hear the noise that your neighbors are making (phone, shower, morning call), the noise of the freeway. The breakfast is so poor, and the room is undersized (it was over crowded every single day).The pool is teeny tiny, the jacuzzi is tiniest.The valet is free, but one day, we had to wait 15 minutes for our car (big line on rush hour !).Another day, I came back in my room and I found the dirty sheets on my table : oops !! The maids are not good !! The coffe maker wasn't cleaned after I used it. Dirty room !!
