Airport stay
Just an average hotel unfortunately, we booked a package which included 1 night, dinner for two and car parking for 8 days. The rooms are very very hot, even though the radiator was off and it was 3c outside! the restaurant was closed and the bar was nearly empty food was ok nothing special.

Good vaule
We have stayed at the Menzies Gatwick quite a fewetimes and I must say that it has greatly improved, we had a basic room, which looked like it had been refurbished, it was quite and very clean. When we stayed last September the main dining room was open and the meal we had was a disappointing, we did speak to the waitress that night, but nothing was done, this year, all the meals are seraved in the bar, the difference in the food and service was so much better, they offered a 2 course meal for ¿¿15.00, which was really good vaule and the quaity of food had improved, the staff were very good and when a pint of beer didn't look or taste right, it was changed staright away. it's a nice way to start a hoilday, we shall keep on booking here for future trips.

Great Airport Hotel
We stayed here for 1 night after returning from holiday. As it was our 30th Anniversary while away, the receptionist gave us a free upgrade to a superior room. The room was lovely, newly decorated and refurbished. Bed and pillows were comfy and a decent en-suite. Our only problem was that we were next to the door on the hallway, so every time anyone came down our corridor we heard the door bang as it didn't have a soft close mechanism. But for an airport hotel, it was just the job for us ( you have to remember that people are arriving and leaving at all times of the day and night in airport hotels so they are not peaceful places).The breakfast was brilliant, everything was piping hot and lots of choice for the full english, with fresh fruits and yoghurts, and danish pastries, crumpets, selection of fresh bread, cheese, ham etc and lots of fresh juices.If we fly from Gatwick again we would be happy to stay here again.

No way is this hotel 4 star!
Staff are very rude! The entry to the hotel looks like an abandoned building! Rooms stink of damp!Stayed here one night and never will i stay again! I was shocked at the state of this place at the front carpark area. However, the reception and resturant areas are modern and clean! The rooms were acceptable but not at 4 star standard. The staff in the resturant are soo rude and i remember one man who really tried his best with us but was let down by all the other staff in there!I will never recommend or stay here again! This hotel should not be 4 star!

No way this should be rated a 4 Star
Staff helpful but very disappinted with the room and food, how can you get a English Full Breakfast wrong, room very outdated and decor very poor , and a very hard bed. Was not what we expected from the Menzies group....................
