Birthday treat
Stayed here for my birthday weekend and thought we would try holland park for a change...just a little out of the way and not the in the centre of kensington as we thought but nonetheless a nice area of london...I especially liked the row of local shops on the way to the tube. I also get the impression the hotel is near to the westfield shopping mall. Nice hotel,very friendly staff who couldnt do enough for you.Our room was clean ,comfortable and quiet though just a little on the small side...and the breakfast was really good.The hotel knew it was my birthday and on arrival we were offered complimentary drinks at the bar...I had champagne !! Very nice !! And that night when returning from the Ivy we discovered a birthday cake,flowers and champagne in the room...all complimentary !! A very very nice touch and very much appreciated !!

Nice place, but not quite as close to Kensignton as expected
We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton London. Warm welcome on arrival. The room might have been a little small, but it was comfortable with air con, coffee and tea etc. We had reserved a quiet room and the hotel had done the necessary to secure it for us which was great. Thank you. It is closed to the shops as well as the Tube station and Bus stop, however, although named 'Kensington', it is not that closed to Kensington. Luckily, with both tube station and bus stop not too far, it was still a good location for us... Free WiFi is only available in the lobby and still quite expensive to use in the room!

Good, quiet hotel
Stayed here four nights and hotel was very quiet and the staff was very friendly. Let us check in when we arrived at 10:00 am since we had flown in from US. The hotel was great, but it was a little farther out than I expected, but that was my error on distance. Great mall in a five minute walk. Breakfast, happy hour and bar were great.

Distinctly Average - Great Check In Staff
Stayed here for a Saturday night in May.Arrived early at 1pm as two gold VIPs, and whilst waiting for the rooms to be ready, was kindly offered executive lounge access.Two rooms:Single room upgraded to doubleDouble room not upgradedRooms were small but well maintained. View uninspiring.No complimentary water in room - this is meant to be standard for Golds these days. Internet was very fast.Went to sauna/steam room at 7.30am (it is advertised as open then) - not turned on. (Not good enough!)Breakfast was a disaster - in the 50 minutes I was there, I was not offered a hot drink, and the chef who supposedly cooks eggs to order appeared just as I was leaving. Not good enough.Was kindly offered extended check out to 2pm as a Gold member.In conclusion - a mixed bag! I am returning later in the year, and hopefully the experience will be more consistent.

Good Hilton standard
Quite a nice hotel located on the lovely Holland Park Avenue. The room was rather small (as they usually are in London) and the bathroom seemed a bit old fashioned. The executive lounge was ok, although the room is a bit dark. The gym as well as the sauna facilities were a bit of a disappointment. Did not use at all although we had intention to. Good service though.
