I have stayed at 4 b&Bs / hotels in Dorchester and Lantern House comes out top of the list. Lantern House > Wessex Royale Hotel > Bay Tree House > BramliesPositives:1. great B and B
We stayed at the Lantern House for two days over New Years eve, Pauline and Geoff made us feel very welcome and were warm and friendly.The room was spotless, very spacious and tastefully furnished . Breakfast was delicious, with freshly brewed coffee and homemade bread. The town centre is within a few minutes walking distance and the B&B is very central to a lot of places to visit along the Jurassic coast. A great B & B, highly recommended.

excellent bed and breakfast
One of the nicest bed and breakfasts I have had the pleasure of staying in. The 2 owners are extremely friendly and even gave me directions to where I need to go on a business trip to save me a cab journey. The rooms are beautiful with lots of character and an extremely comfortable bed! Also lovely breakfast in the morning Also easy walking distance to dorchester town centre. Thank you both for a lovely stay

Excellent B & B
Pauline & Geoff made us feel very welcome and were warm and friendly. The room was spotless, well laid out and the bed very comfortable. The perfect placed to stay for walking distance access to the town centre or for getting out and about. A really nice B & B with lots of thought gone into it by the owners, highly recommended.

Excellent B&B
Had a very enjoyable stay at Lantern House which is situated about 5 minutes walk from Dorchester town. Lantern House offers bed and breakfast, but what a bed and breakfast. The bed was so comfortable we didn't want to get up, it was one of the best nights sleep we have ever had. The room was spot on, lovely and clean with lots of room to relax, en-suite facilities were also spotless and very good. The breakfast was excellent, we plumped for full English but if you can't manage that then you can chose cereals, toast or fruit. This was a very enjoyable stay and I would recommend Lantern House to anyone, especially for the price.
