Country Home B&B
This is a lovely little country house. It was built in 1903 and has a lot of charm. The family wasn't around much because they have busy lives. So, if your looking for a B&B with more one one with the owners, this isn't the place for you. Here are the pros and cons:Pros: For me, I loved the country setting. It was a nice change from a busy city. It is farm living out there, so expect all the smells and sounds of a farm. It was fairly quiet and I did get a good night's sleep. I was there two nights. Loved the animals (dogs, horses, and chickens) that I saw. There were tree swings, a soccer field, and lots of room for kids to run around and play. If you love antiques, then this is a great place. It was like stepping back into time. The breakfast was amazing. I should mention that if you want a more modern setting, they do have a little newly built cottage for guests. It was wonderful. It would be perfect for a romantic get away or a family or group trip. There is an upstairs suite as well, which had a nice living room and a pool table. There was also a full breakfast and lots of yogurt, fruit and cereal choices as well. Cons: The bedrooms in the old house look a bit cluttered with lots of beds in each room. My bathroom was clean and had a nice bathtub, but there was only a lace curtain in the window. BUT you're in the country and you can't see up into the room. I looked. It's nearly impossible. So, don't worry about. But a proper curtain would be nice just for piece of mind. The place is a country home more than a traditional B&B. There are cobwebs and such, but the bedding was clean and the floors were okay. The bathroom was spotless. It could use a bit of dusting in a few of the other places. Not much to do here, but there are a few smaller towns nearby. There was a lovely old church and the people were willing to tell you all about the town's history. So, even though you're not in a major city, there are a few interesting places to see.I'd recommend this as a stop over or resting point. The family is very kind and helpful. I felt as if I was staying in someone's home rather than a B&B, which for me was nice. And thanks for upgrading me to a room with a private bath. That was lovely!

A very homely experience
Stayed here for 5 nights with my wife and daughter middle of May 2013. The room was very spacious and the owners - Gale and June were always very welcoming and made the most amazing breakfast every morning. The Hotel is also well placed not too far from Belfast Airport and close enough to all the major tourist spots in N. Ireland. Would definitely recommend this wonderful place for a great relaxing stay in Ireland.

Great couple of nights!
Loved this house! If you like period architecture and furnishings you'll love this house, everywhere you turn there's something interesting, a huge fireplace, pots, mirrors, pictures, it must take forever to keep it clean! We stayed for 2 nights, booked at short notice and had a huge room, loved the fireplace! The room was spotlessly clean, had a double, and 2 single beds, and still loads of free floor space, wardrobes and cabinets, and ensuite bathroom with a deep bath. Room was warm, water was hot, and plent of tea / coffee available. We had the best sleep we've ever had when we've stayed away from home, impressive! My partner is wanting to go back already! Breakfast was great and set us up for the day. In the village there is a great restaurant, chip shop and Chinese take away. The house sits in large gardens , with football posts and a huge trampoline, there are facilities for horses, and dogs. We were allowed to keep our dogs in the room overnight, we used soft crates to keep them settled. I cant recommend this house highly enough, its quirky, interesting and homely, I loved it! Its sited 13 miles from Kings Hall in Belfast so would suggest if you are going to an event, then stay here in the country, enjoy a brilliant sleep!
