Two young twenty-somethings that had never really stayed in a bed and breakfast before - we didn't really know what to expect. We only needed a bed for two nights as we were staying very near relatives.The rooms were neat, tidy, clean, nicely decorated. The bed was fantastic with crisp white bedding. The staff we met were polite and knowledgeable about the area. They even tidied / cleaned the room while we were out which we didn't expect. The corridors were not as up-to-date looking but don't let that put you off the rooms which are lovely, light and airy.We didn't use the tea / coffee facilities but the bathroom freebies (shampoo / bubbles / moisturiser) supplied were very useful. The en-suite was slightly small but perfectly formed. My 6ft-something boyfriend had no trouble. The only thing we would have changed was put in black-out curtains instead of light cotton ones (we were awake by 8am with beautiful sunlight pouring in - just slightly early).Being able to walk from the bars / pier back to the hotel in about 5 minutes was ideal. Couldn't beat the location.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend in Clacton. The Beeches Hotel is situated 5 mins from the main pier, shops, bars and restaurants. It is run by a lovely couple Liz and Barry who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The rooms were very light and sunny, comfortable beds and so quiet, had the best nights sleep. The breakfast was delicious, ranging from cereals, juice, toast, eggs and full english seated in a lovely sunny dining room.There is lots to do in Clacton whether is sunny or cold, we spent most of our time on the pier and playing crazy golf and indoor bowls.I would definitely recommend the Beeches, we can't wait to go again!

A clean and friendly hotel with off road parking, close to the town.The weekend we stayed it was snowing, but the room was lovely and warm.Liz & Barry were very friendly and helpful. Our first day we had a slight issue with the shower which we reported and Barry had it replaced the next morning.Breakfast was great too.

we booked this short break direct with the hotel. The owners made us feel very welcome and this bed and breakfast is a credit to them. The rooms were very clean and the food really well cooked and tasty. Nothing was too much trouble. If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel with a warm welcome this is the place to go. Thanks for a lovely 3 night stay and look forward to a return trip.

Booked the hotel for large number of people attending a conference on Calcton. The beds were very confortable, the rooms were nice and clean. Barry and Liz took extremely good care of us. Liz was very help about the last minute changes we had to make to our sleeping arrangments. And the staff got up at 6am to cook breakfast for those of who had to go and sort out the conference venue on the first morning!A nice hotel run by helpful and hardworking people. If we have our conference in Clacton again last year we will defintley be getting in touch with The Beeches again.
