Lovely Weekend
Thank you for a most enjoyable weekend at The Raglan. Despite the cold weather our room was clean, and warm with a comfortable bed and plenty of hot water. A great base to explore the surrounding countryside, and one to which we would have no hesitation to return should we again be in the area.

Relaxing stay
Just spent a few days at this B&B and would highly recommend it. Lovely Breakfasts and what's especially nice is there is no time limit to when you have it!. My room was facing the road and considering it was a weekend, it was very quiet. I shall be using Raglan House again.

Warm, comfortable and friendly
Raglan House is a cafe-tea room in the center of Ross which also does b&b accommodation. We stayed here in January 2013 for one night with the intention of using it as a base to explore the hinterland of Ross. Having rung the bell, we were met by the proprietor, Bob', who made us very welcome and showed us to our room. This was cosy, comfortable and warm. [It was very cold outside so we much appreciated this!] There was a clean bathroom with adequate [if not luxurious] shower over the bath and plenty of hot water. The bed was, for us, just right: not too hard and not too soft and with a warm duvet - plus extra blankets in the wardrobe if you wanted them. There was an easy-to-use TV, somewhat bizarrely placed up high [attached to the ceiling (?)] but okay once you got used to it. There was plenty of storage space - not that we needed much just staying for one night. There were also plenty of packet teas, coffee and cocoa and a kettle. It was quiet and dark at night - no thumping disco' or intrusive street lighting to keep you awake. In the morning [Sunday] breakfast was served from 9am although we could have had it earlier if we had wanted. My partner had by this time come down with the dreaded flu' that everyone seemed to get that winter but Bob' and his wife were very understanding when she did not touch her pancakes! I had the full English breakfast which was ample, comprehensive and nicely done. Tea, coffee and a range of juices, toast etc etc were available. The breakfast room was not very warm but this was in the cafe area and it was a very cold day outside. Bob chatted to us but did so without intruding or spoiling our breakfast. We left feeling that this was a friendly, warm and good-value establishment. We would definitely recommend it.

The best service in town
Although I am a local I hadn't tried this restaurant since its make over. I shall definately be going back again and again. The service by the young man was outstanding. The food was extremely tasty and home cooked. I would have no reservation in recommending this place

Ideally located, clean and friendly
We stayed here last weekend and used Ross-On-Wye as a base to explore. I cannot recommend Raglan House enough the rooms were well decorated and we were made to feel extremely welcome by our hosts.Breakfast was fantastic and more than i expected for the price. Next time I am in Ross-on-wye I will definately be staying at Raglan House.
