Absolute gem of a hotel
Fabulous stay here. Ideal if you want to do more than Venice or just be away from the crazy tourist hordes for a bit if peace. Unfair to review this based on location - it is not in Venice and you know that when you book it! Transport links are excellent - the bus stop is opposite the hotel. Plus if you hire a car it's dead easy to get around. We went to Lake Garda, Treviso, Padua and Jeloso during our trip as well as into Venice several times. We also borrowed the hotel bikes and explored the river and my husband found some amazing running routes - which you will of course never get in Venice!More importantly, this hotel is much better value than you will get in the city. Beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. The restaurant is superb - far better than we ever had in Venice. Most importantly, the staff are exceptional and really made our holiday. They hired a car for us, booked restaurants, gave us local tips on parking (massively useful!) and were the sunniest loveliest team of folk. I was surprised to see a complaint from another reviewer about one of the staff not speaking English. He did speak some actually, and was completely lovely, just like the rest of the team, but that's hardly the point. This hotel is in ITALY. Not sure i need to say more...In summary, I can't recommend this place enough. You will be treated like royalty. Go.

Charming Boutique Hotel
My wife and I stayed here for the second phase of our honeymoon. I was initially attracted to the hotel due to the good reviews and the contemporary bedrooms. The hotel did not disappoint, very clean and modern rooms plus the staff were also exceptionally friendly and helpful. Good food too. Just a short bus ride (20 min) from outside the hotel to central Venice. Would stay again without hesitation

WE LOVED THE HOTEL, THE RESTAURANT and VENEZIA!
We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel and although we were initially a little perturbed to find it 25 mins from Venice, we adapted immediately and found the welcome typically Italian ... warm, friendly and open. After a mix up with our own understanding of local public transport, we arrived almost two hours after our flight landed, feeling a little stressed and tired. Almost immediately we entered the hotel, we were shown to our splendid room. This hotel has been designed to the highest standard of any boutique hotel we have stayed in. Then, that evening ... the REAL treat of the holiday was upon us. The hotel Antico Ristoro!!! What a fabulous restaurant, with a superb chef ... great informal service ... and food worthy (for you UK readers) of Masterchef! The food was so great, we elected to return 'home' to the hotel on our last night to enjoy a splendid (and reasonably priced) meal, way above the standard of anything we had in the heart of the city.OK ... so the weather on our first day proper was terrible, we were cold and wet ... but this was Carnivale weekend, which was a surprise to us! If you haven't been to Venice ... we say GO THERE ... but if you love those special cultural events ... like say New Orleans Mardi Gras, go at Carnivale! WHAT A FIESTA! The Carnivale Sunday was a bright crisp day ... perfect for wandering the alleyways, canals and campos ... tiring ourselves out to enjoy that extra warm welcome on our return to the hotel.We recommend this hotel highly. We'd say if you're staying for a week or more, it's PERFECTO! If you're staying for a weekend ... maybe it's a little far out. But the bus service is dead on regular ... every 30 mins ... and stops right outside the hotel each way. You get to talk with the helpful locals and soak up Italian 'real' life on the way to the city. If you're feeling lost or want some info, ask the signore or signora who you're travelling next to and they're more than happy to work through your pigeon Italian and put you right. So as not to get thrown or confused by info at the airport city travel desks ... here's how to get to this hotel. Take the vaperetto (boat) OR the VENEZIA bus from the airport to Pl.Roma. Bus will be easier because it drops you at the bus station right by the city. Go to the ticket office, purchase a ¿¿¿1.30 per person travel card - their equiv of an Oyster ... you can buy as much travel as you like on a top up basis and they give you one card for two of you not one each, then from stand B6 take the PADOVA bus. We say 'stand', but this staion looks like a bus car park, so just look for the small signs. On your journey out, you'll head back the way you came (can be confusing) out across the dual carriageway bridge and on the way you will be taken through what looks like an industrial dockland area, but fear not as the bus gets out through Malconte and into Ca'Sabbioni you'll be on the road running alongside the river in a nice little area. Time your journey. It's 20-25mins dependent on the driver! The stop you need is Via Padana ... but look out for the hotel up ahead as you approach. It's clear as a bell on a left hand bend. It's next to a furniture store called (something) 1949 AND right by a BIG sign for CAMPING SENISSIMA. This landmark seems to be the one the bus drivers and locals all know as opposed to the stop's name. Never again!!!
The most noise place i've never have been. I couldn 't sleep at all, for the main road in front of my room with big track going around all night long.The breakfast was really poor and there was only few " croisant" for the guest.A little guy who said to be the general manager was completly unable to talk in english or any other language except than italian.Hope for them he's not the real manager,but i 'd not be surprised.The hotel looks good but the service are really NOT 5 STARS, maybe 2 stars.The area where the hotel is located is not the best for family or traveler too, the staff from the restaurant told me they found their car with the windows broken and with some good stolen, few time. Fortunately i came by taxy cab.The bus to go to Venice is every half hour,not every tem minutes like the staff told us.

REALLY EXCELLENT HOTEL, FRIENDLY & HELPFUL STAFF.
We were on a business trip to Venice and chose this hotel as it was outside of the centre and would be quiet, and it was. The owner should congratulate himself on the excellent choice of his staff...everyone was kind and helpful, always happy and keen to help with any problems. The hotel is ultra modern and has been beautifully restored and designed with great taste. The excellent restaurant has a super manager who could not have made us more welcome - the food was delicious! We would definitely return.Robert and Eileen Self
