The hotel is in a great location. Only a block away from the metro, but not on a busy street. The room wasn't big, but there was a full tub in the bathroom. A nice touch given most showers in Paris are small. Internet was included with the room.Good service at the front desk.

I have just returned from a trip to Paris with my mum, over the May bank holiday weekend. We had a lovely break and very much enjoyed our stay.We got an amazing deal costing only ¿¿64 per night, which is brilliant considering some of the other hotels. The manufacturer is just off a main road so it has the benefits of being in a great location without the noisy traffic. The metro is very close (4 min walk if that), so perfect when you have a lot to see and not a lot of time.For breakfast we didn't stay at the hotel (¿¿¿13 quite expensive) but instead went to a cafe just down the round called the manufacturer cafe, we had a coffee, warm croissant and orange juice for just over ¿¿¿5 was just enough. There is also a patisserie that sells the most amazing pain au chocolat for ¿¿¿1.80.The room itself are very small, but you go to Paris to see the sites and not sit in your room. There is a safe, wardrobe and a tv with English channels. The bathroom is also tiny with only a shower, but is nice and powerful. The rooms were clean, and the beds comfy. The only negative is that there wasn't a kettle in the room, and only two small plastic cups for water which were a similar size to a shot glass.....not too great when you had too much wine with dinner and need to rehydrate.There are plenty of restaurants to choose from and surprise surprise a lot of Italian restaurants, I should have gathered that from the fact it was at place d'italie. They were very nice and also reasonable. Outside of the hotel one top tip is rather than go up the Eiffel Tower is to go to the Vue bar, in the Hyatt hotel. It has the most amazing vue over Paris..although with the cheapest drink at ¿¿¿16 for a coke it comes at a charge. But for the price you'd pay to go up the tower and the time spent queuing I wood highly recommend it....(well that is how I justified the spend anyway).Great trip and would stay here if I return again.

We stayed at La Manufacture about 6yrs ago and loved our stay. As we now travel to Paris for work we have not had to book our own accommodation in a while. After a work trip we decided to extend our stay in Paris over the Bank Holiday - and to go back to La Manufacture, mainly because we had fond memories of it from when we were younger and the price was reasonable given the bank holiday.We were so happy to find that our stay lived up to expectations.We booked a Club + Room to ensure a bit more space, balcony and double bed. The room was very small but the balcony was lovely. The hotel staff were so nice and actually offered us a bigger room on the 7th Floor (number 72) without a balcony if we would prefer. We chose to stay in the bigger room because it better accommodated all of our luggage and had a sizable bay window which we kept open throughout the day. The bathroom was a great size and even had a make-up table.Location is great - only a 5-7min walk to the Latin Quarter and a 20min walk to Notre Dame. There is a Metro stop about a 3min walk away and there are plenty of cafes around for food and drink.Hotel staff were lovely and friendly.Breakfast at the hotel is 13euro which I think is overpriced for what it is. If we stay there again I'd probably opt out of breakfast on Saturday as the neighborhood has a fabulous food market open on Saturdays and cute cafes - so I'd prefer to go out. But it's a viable option on Sunday when everything is closed (or if the weather isn't that nice).All in all I'd say that La Manufacture is a great value-for-money hotel. It's a solid 3 star hotel that's filled with character and an ambiance that just makes you feel at home as soon as you walk in.Even after 6yrs it doesn't disappoint. If I ever need to stay in Paris for a non-work related weekend, I'll definitely be staying there (though would probably splurge on a Superior Room.

This was a very good location with easy metro access at Place de L'Italie. Very large room and bathroom but we did pay for the best room in the hotel. Cannot comment on breakfast as I did not eat it but hotel does not have a restaurant. There are lots on restaurants on Rue de Gobelins and we found an excellent one called Epsilon (review in restaurant section). The only think negative about the hotel is that some of the tiles in the bathroom were cracked due to a set of bathroom scales being knocked into wall, I tripped over them at lease twice. The teas and milks were not replaced and although there were a couple of cookies on the first day these did not appear again. Also, when I made the booking I was told the price and then found it was the most expensive room in the hotel, they did not suggest they had cheaper rooms available. I did book 3 months in advance but still paid ¿¿¿200 per night even with an early booking discount.

The motel was very clean and had a great location, however the rooms are tiny and the bathroom even smaller. I couldn't imagine staying here longer than a couple of nights because of the size. The employees were fantastic, very helpful and accommodating.
