Great location - nice rooms - pleasant staff
This hotel was lovely. The staff always courteous, helpful and polite. It is located right near a stop for the 'red bus' and for the metro station. There are loads of cafes, bars and restaurents within walking distance.My only gripe would be that there are no electrical sockets in the bathroom for hair straighteners etc, but that seems to be the way through the last 4 countries I have been in and that there was not an iron in the room as standard which is normal in Australian motels. Otherwise it was great!

Perfect in many ways
I had the pleasure of staying here in March for an Expo I was working at. Great location for walking to restaurants, shopping - easy access to the metro. The hotel is clean and modern. Service is friendly and professional at all times. They were helpful whenever asked.

Superb find in Paris.
I used Tripadviser reviews to find this hotel and I am very pleased to say that I was delighted with the Hotel Le Littre. The location at Montparnasse is ideal, close to the Metro and loads of lovely restaurants. The hotel is very clean and tidy and the staff go out of their way to help at every opportunity. We were upgraded to a deluxe room which was massive. The bed was huge and so comfortable and the bathroom, with double sink etc, was spotless. We stayed three nights in room 308 and never heard a sound. We woke really refreshed. Breakfast was another plus, with hot food for those who wanted it, as well as various pastries, breads and fruit which were delicious. The breakfast room staff were really lovely, always wishing to bring more tea or coffee and lifting used plates away, which is always nice when you return to your table with something else. The metro is five minutes away which is ideal for any city traveller whether business or pleasure. Also, don't miss out on the Montparnasse Tour by taking the lift to the 56th floor of the huge tower which you just can't miss! The restaurants around Le Littre are lovely and the hotel reception staff are very good at pointing newly arrived guests towards a nice place to eat, which is always handy. It is always difficult to find a good reasonably priced hotel in a large city, whether for a city break like us or for longer. All I can say to you is, look no further, book the Hotel Le Littre. I've been to a few hotels in my time and I wasn't disappointed. Good area to stay and good place to eat out at night. As I say, look no further, we think it's ideal. Well done to all at Le Littre.

Comfortable and Quiet - a nice oasis of calm
From the moment we arrived at Hotel Le Littr¿¿, we felt at ease. The reception was very friendly and our room, even though it was only a standard room, was spacious, smartly decorated,and spotlessly clean. We stayed for 5 nights and had peaceful sleep every night because the room faced into the courtyard and so there was no traffic noise. The Hotel is in any case on a side road, away from the main street. All staff were friendly and helpful with advice and directions about Paris. The Hotel Le Littr¿¿ is the prefect oasis from which to explore Paris. The only slight improvement would be the quality of the food at breakfast. The quantity was plentiful, but the quality could have been a little better. But we are happy to recommend Hotel Le Littr¿¿ to our friends and we would definitely wish to stay again.

A good Bed and Breakfast Hotel
We took a Taxi from Gare Nord rail station to the Hotel, this was our first visit to Paris so nothing was boring. Our initial impression was that Le Littre was some distance from the main tourist attractions. That was not a problem in reality being only 10/15 minutes using any form of transport to most places of interest, it crossed our mind perhaps our Taxi driver was not aware of a more direct route from the Station ! The first impression of the Hotel, it was down a small side street near a large Post Office and about 200 mtrs from the only Sky Scrapper in Paris, that did help if we were ever slightly lost. Le Littre was clean and tidy with very helpful and highly recommended English speaking staff, they did have some good Restaurants to recommend. The bedrooms 104/105 were always clean with a good shower and although not over large had comfortable beds. There was the odd mark on the carpet but this is a busy Hotel. Our room window faced what can best be decribed as a courtyard of other rooms, green field lovers may be slightly dissappointed. Breakfast, taken in a large room a few steps down from reception, was good without being outstanding, the self operated Toaster seemed to take about 5 minutes to warm the bread and another 5 to make it a brown colour. The rest was fruit , yoghurts plenty of bread and jam and some heated pans with several cooked items. We did get around using a Taxi average cost of 8 Euros plus tip per journey we did use the Bus which obviously is cheaper or the Metro but from our point of view underground you dont see anything. There is not a problem as long as you know where you want to go and of course something quite simple like your return address, sounds so simple but we forgot it once that made life quite interesting for a while, but be brave and have some fun. The best thing we did to get to know the City was use an open top Bus (it was only just warm enough on the top deck in the middle of April) this takes you round all the places of interest, you can also get on and off as you please if you use the "Hop on Hop off green Buses". The final question would we stay at Le Littre again, yes without doubt but remember it is a bed and breakfast Hotel and for what we wanted on this occassion for our stay it was perfect and not overly expensive for Paris ,if that is the type of accomodation you are looking for then you wont be dissappointed
