I had very little expectations for this hotel. But I got suprised, it was worse than I could have imagined. I stayed at this hotel because some friends of me were staying there for the weekend. Having read the many poor reviews on Tripadvisor i opted for the upgrade "Deluxe" room, and made a note to the hotel when I made the reservation on Hotels.com, that I didn¿¿t want a room in the basement.When we arrived at the hotel we got a room.. in the basement. Ok, I thought fair enough. Took the stairs into the narrow basement. To my surprise this "deluxe" room had no windows!! I have stayed in bad hotels and hostels all over the world, but this is the first time I have gotten a room without windows. Needless to say this gave me a very claustrophobic feel as the roof was also very low. And Imagine what would happen if a fire broke out....I took contact whith the staff and asked them how this could be an upgraded "deluxe" room that I had payed more for. No windows and in the basement. The staff explained that the airconditon and that the room was renovated made it "deluxe". I told them i was unhappy with the room and wanted to get another room with an window. They had no room available so I had to stay in the terrible window-less room the first night. A terrible night with little sleep, as the airconditon that had to run so air could get in was really noisy. And the claustrophobic feel of the room didn¿¿t help either. The other night I stayed at the hotel I was allowed to switch to a decent room with TWO windows in the 5th floor. Must say I can¿¿t really complain about the staff, they were friendly enough.My friends were staying in the basement too, at B22. There is a window there. But there also is cockroaches in that room. They found one dead under the bed, and I saw a big one running over the floor. This hotel has lots of work to do.Needless to say I will never stay at this hotel again.

I stayed at Ambassadors a couple nights. The location and the price were the main reasons for why i selected the hotel. Based on the TP reviews, i didn't have high expectations. I was satsfied wiyh the stay and the service. The only dissapointment was the very crowded breakfast room.

Stayed here for a sight seeing weekend in March. Room was very small and basic but clean. All we needed as most of the time was spent out and about. Found the staff pleasant and helpful but breakfast was a real let down, opting to visit the nearby Greggs for it on the last day! Overall not a bad base but that's about it!

Stayed here in Feb with my 2 year old daughter in a twin room for three nights. It was lovely. Rooms are small but entirely serviceable and very clean. Maid service was exceptional and they even positioned my daughters toys in funny places each day, which was a delight to her. We paid ¿¿201 for our stay, which was excellent. We are staying here again over her birthday weekend because we enjoyed it so much. Overall a fab little hotel.

I visited that hotel on last autumn during my business visit in London. One evening after having a nice visit in downtown me and my collague came back to hotel and decided to have a nightcaps before sleeping. Well, we went to bar at the lobby and after short thinking I asked a Gin Tonic from the bartender. He took a bottle under the shelf and put it in a glass and added tonic. I tasted it and asked "Where is the gin,this does not taste like a GT at all. The behaviour of the bartender changed immediatelly and the service stopped. He asked me to pay the drink at the reception and there they gave me a bill sgt like 15 euros. Not very cheap? I payed while the receptionist tried to hold his laugh. After my trip I wrote a letter to hotelmanager and asked about that what happened,hoped a response, but nothing has happened since then! Avoid that hotel!!!
