Weekend visit
Hotel clean and tidy.ask at reception for a kettle on arrival as there won't be one in your room.only used this as some where to sleep room self catering but basic,fridge noisy so turn it off at night.got there late everything was shut so we asked at reception and they pointed us in the direction of a 24 hour petrol station with mini market that sold drinks ,sandwiches,microwave meals only 1 minute walk during the day there is a supermarket nearby.we stayed on the 8 th floor room 813.on the last night 812 was so noisy we decided at 2 am to wait in reception for our 5.30 am bus we told night reception and they replied sorry about that and that was it.when leaving airport get the l77 bus it stops right outside hotel and only cost 2 euro pp.taxi cost 38.75 euro.bus takes 40 mins.there was only me and my son so this was an ideal stop for us as we were up early and back late.to visit Barcelona tram stop is 5 min walk get a T3 zone 1 ticket it gives you 10 credits which you can share it also allows you to use buses in that zone. 2 credits to get to barcelona and 1 ticket to nou camp.i hope this helps .

Before staying here it seemed strange that the reviews varied so much. Some call the rooms large, smart and clean, others call them old-fashioned and gloomy. Well weirdly both are kind of right. My room looked brand new, almost like no-one had previously stayed, with lots of expensive-looking wood, decent free wifi and a big flat-screen TV. But the style's best described as 1970s eastern European opulence, a shame in such a super-stylish city.The location is a mid-market high-density housing estate, not as bad as it sounds and it stops you feeling like a tourist.The airport connection could hardly be easier. The L77 bus stops outside both terminals and its journey ends half an hour later, right outside the hotel. Cost: about a euro depending which ticket you've bought from the tourist info office in the airport. Journeys into town are equally cheap but more awkward, as other reviewers have described. On the other hand the transport links are excellent: three tram stops within 8 minutes walk. For a three or four day stay the trip's fine but might get tedious after that, or for those who don't fancy the walk. Back to the hotel itself and there were a few disappointments, leaving aside the style (or lack of it). The 'kitchen' isn't much more than a waste of space, consisting of a fridge, two hobs and a microwave. The aircon didn't work even though it was quite warm (in April). And I didn't get a balcony.In line with the mixed reviews, it's hard to rate the hotel. 'Average' for a three/four star but 'Excellent' for value for money. Buffet breakfast good value but only at the current 30% discount. Bear in mind that suites here are currently available at well under 50 euros a night. That's for a room that looks new and is maybe three times as big as many hotel rooms. Just imagine that you're an important delegate from the ruling party![Off-topic but for the benefit of overseas readers the reviewer below says UK supermarkets close at 6pm. Can't think of any that do. It's usually 10pm, sometimes 8pm but often 24 hours for larger ones. Except Sundays]

Hotel with spacious rooms
We stayed at this hotel in July 2012. It was a pretty decent hotel with a nice neighborhood though it was somehow far from the main city. Nonetheless the hotel location was closed to bus and tram station, additionally there were grocery stores and restaurants nearby which made our stay very convenient. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and very spacious. There were fridge and small kitchen just in case you want to make your own meal. We had a nice stay at this hotel with convenient establishments nearby.

Good hotel for families
The rooms are very very big and comfortable, I think they sould have more decoration. The bathrooms are in good condition and they're very clean. The service is good, but the location is not.I didn't try the restaurant, but some blocks away there is an asian restaurant called "Wok", which is a buffet, and you can eat whatever you want and the amount you want.I recommend it for a family.

Limited Facilties
We found this hotel very limited in facilities, the only time we saw the bar open was at breakfast, the breakfast was continental, it was ok but nothing to write home about. The rooms were ok, seperate living room and bedroom, television in bedroom but none in living room, not that we watched it cos only 2 English channels and both of those are news channels, it's been mentioned before but I would not like to get a noisy neighbour because the walls are so thin. The surrounding area is residential with a few shops on the complex behind the hotel, there is a Chinese restaurant down the road which we was told is a Buffett restaurant. It is a bit of a way from the main parts of Barcelona, La Rambla etc but its easy enough to get to and we quite enjoyed the trip, if you come out of the hotel and turn right, go to the end of the road and turn left, go up to the roundabout and if you look across the road, slightly to your right you'll see the tram stop for the T3 tram, you require the right hand side of the tram stop, the tram will come from where the roundabout is and will be going to Francesc Macia, we got off at Maria Cristina and caught the metro L3 line to Drassanes which is at the bottom of La Rambla and near the port and the beach, if you going to FC Barcelona you can get off the tram at Palau Reial turn left and its down the bottom of the road.We purchased a T10 ticket ( 9.85 euro ) which entitles you to 10 journeys on all transport, tram, metro and bus, be aware that if you buy this ticket from the tram stop you will need change because the machine does not take notes, we bought 1 ticket between 2 of us, you just put the ticket in the machine on the tram twice to validate it for each person, once it's validated you can use it on as many journeys as you like within 1 hour 15 mins, after this time it will take another journey or 2 off the ticket, so on our journey the Tram and the Metro counted as 1 journey per person.The L77 bus back to the airport leaves from the bus stop directly opposite the front of the hotel, on weekdays this bus leaves on the hour and every half hour and not 50 and 20 past the hour as reception advised.When we return to Barcelona we will not be staying in this hotel because of the location, we'll stay a little bit nearer the city centre to cut down on travelling.
