Melrose Place feel....
Pertaining to the title, I think this place was once an apartment complex that has since been converted to a hotel. Great little place....all the hotel rooms face to the outdoor pool area. Beds are comfy, a small fridge is provided. The showers can be touch and go as shower heads vary. There is a complimentary hot breast buffet in the morning that is awesome. Bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, french toast, fruit, cereal. Workout room is very small, however, the surrounding neighborhoods providing for good walking and running. Lots of restaurants around- Chicago Pizza place, Thai Food and the Fish Market.Not bad for a weekend get-away, or if you're on business.

Great Place
I got in late, but the service was great. Check in went very smoothly, and the people working at the main desk were very kind. I even got a complementary upgrade!The accommodations were great, and staying here relieved so much of my stress.Love it!

Great place!!!!
We were going to the de Young in S.F. Our regular hotel was very expensive that week. We chose Wild Palms in Sunnyvale as it was much more affordable and only 45 minutes away. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room, pool, and hot tub were very clean. Breakfast was great. The landscaping is beautiful with lots of seating options outside. The location is convenient to many great restaurants. The bed was softer and older than I like...the only downside. It was very quiet at night. I'll definitely return. Josue and Shawn really understand hospitality!

Joie de Vivre Experience for a 1 night stay
I am doing an 8 day road-trip from San Francisco to San Diego and back and chose Wild Palms Hotel for my first night (Friday May 3, 2013) stay along the way. I picked Wild Palms based on the positive reviews from Trip Advisor and book my room via American Express/Orbitz; I received a rate of $86 for a 1 night stay.I was very exhausted when I checked in, after a 6am flight from NYC to San Fran (I only slept 30 minutes the night before)... I was extremely pleased with the hotel, the front desk staff, the pool and amenities and with my room. My room was very modern, very clean, very quiet and the bed was SO COMFORTABLE!! I slept like a little baby that night. I had a 30 minute swim at around 4pm and was the only person in the pool -- it was small, but clean and the swim was refreshing.Saturday morning I woke up at 8am and had a very relaxing and satisfying breakfast (which was included with my stay)... the Coffee was Excellent, the scrambled eggs and sausages were as good as IHOP or Dennys, and it was included(!!)As for the check-in staff -- they were very friendly, attentive and responsive. I have to say again, I would pick Wild Palms again in an instant the next time I return to Sunnyvale / Bay Area.

more than I expected
There was a group of about 10 of us staying there to attend a baseball game at Stanford. Our experience was great and we would definitely stay there again. Check in took only minutes and staff was very friendly. There were even delicious apples to munch on.The decor with all the color and plants was very refreshing but what really impressed me was all the amenities in the room. Too many to mention but, there was good wifi connection, a great stereo radio, magnified mirror in bath room and a safe for valuables.Breakfast was good, lots to choose from.I highly recommend Wild Palms Hotel.
