A great location, a keen price and some lovely staff
I booked this hotel through a well known last minute website (bit of a hint as to which one there). Ingot a very good price on the room for a five star hotel slap bang in the middle of Mayfair and off we went. We arrived very early at the hotel and popped over with the intention of stowing our bags for the day to save lugging them about. Though we were at least three hours early, the very friendly receptionist agreed, without my asking, to check us in and let us have a room to use there and then. Fair play, he didn't have to do that, we weren't expecting it and it was very much appreciated. That gave us a great impression right away. We had reserved a superior room with a queen bed, no additional trimmings. The room, to be fair, was a bit on the small side. But, for the price we paid and the location of this hotel - there isn't much scope for complaining. While the decor is classic and tasteful, the room could do with some slight refurbishment, the bathroom was looking a bit aged. Not bad by any means, but not entirely what I would expect from a five star hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and quiet. The curtains made the room pitch black for sleeping and I slept like a log here. My only gripes would be that wifi costs extra and at ¿¿7 for an hour and ¿¿13 for a day, this is a bit steep to say the least. I am on EE and I got five bars in my room, I was able to use mobile Internet with no loss in performance. While in our room we were disturbed three times by staff. Twice to check the minibar and once to offer a turndown service (we were there for one night). I would recommend leaving guests be as much as possible, the doorbell going in a hotel is seldom welcome. On the plus side, the morning of our checkout we did stow our bags with the hotel and needed to get to them during the day. The staff were super helpful in letting us get to our stuff and didn't make us feel at all like a pain for doing it. That was appreciated. To summarise, a great price for a great location. Lovely, helpful and accommodating staff. It could do with some decorating touching up and free wifi but if I was going to stay in central London for a short break again, I would definitely consider staying at the Westbury again. I would recommend it to anyone.

Lovely place with amazing staff!
I have been here many times for work events and conferences and I have yet to be disappointed-I just wish I could visit in my own time to really enjoy the hotel and the city! The staff are very sweet and helpful-there is a Lithuanian lady who is almost always there when you arrive and she is always very kind and takes you to where you need to be-the waiting staff are always on hand with snacks and water and the lunch and dinner although buffet style is delicious-the room in which we ate was calm and relaxing. The location is really second to none yet when you are inside it has a lovely relaxed atmosphere-it is close to all the fabulous shops,bars and restaurants and is the ideal place to stay! I would really recommend this place for its location,staff and general loveliness! P.s This is also the hotel at which Kimora Lee Simmons stayed with her family whilst filming Life in the Fab Lane and trust me that woman does not settle for anything less than perfect! I hope to see you soon Westbury Hotel!

High Quality Hotel
We held a 2 day customer event here in February, everything went to plan. Staff were very helpful. Food, both the breakfast and Dinners were very good.You do pay for what you get but standards are excellent.

Unbeatable location but a little expensive for what you get
I live in Saudi Arabia and recently came back to London staying at several hotels. I stayed at the Westbury Mayfair, booking through Top Secret Hotels as I didn't really mind where I stayed for this part of the journey. The location is perfect for Oxford Street shopping, and is extremely central. The staff were excellent, incredibly helpful, particularly the reception staff and the concierge staff who stored my extremely heavy luggage.The only negative was, having paid 150GBP for the room, I was extremely surprised that internet access was not included. I stayed in several other London hotels during my 3 week vacation and I several hotels were cheaper and the internet was included, so I do not think they can justify this charge. Other than the internet issue, an excellent hotel although I think the price was a little hefty in comparison to other London Hotels, considering I booked this with a last minute discount. I would have been disappointed if I had paid the full rate, to find the internet was not included.

Excellent service.
We stayed in one the penthouse suites, we were in london visiting family for five days and we booked in and stayed at their best suite. it exceeded our expectations, even at 850 pounds a night it was worth the money.We had tomazj our personal butler who took care of every need or want, every member of staff was kind and considerate and went out of their way to keep us happy, we were there over New years eve and the manager personally dropped of free champagne, we had free fruit and chocolates delivered every morning to our room. I've never in my entire life slept in a more comfortable bed, i don't think i've ever had a more comfortable stay anywhere in my life. for the money of course there are better options worldwide and you're mainly paying for the incredible location over anything else. I lived in london for ten years so i knew every restaurant and every hotel in the vicinity, we never had a meal at the hotel apart from breakfast in bed every morning which was always at a very high standard and the room device was always quick at retrieving dirty dishes.I'll also add this, when we arrived in my dads beaten up old mercedes from 1984, wearing threadbare crappy clothes, looking like we'd been sleeping in the street to check in they gave me the same courtesy and treatment as when they found out i was renting their best rooms. Living in America for the last five years you get used to a certain standard in the service industry, it is very nice to see a hotel even one as haughty as this one that can match up to the best out here.
