Wonderful
This is a lovely well kept guesthouse - the proprietors are charming and friendly and went out of their way to make me feel at home (even down to giving me a lift into town). The rooms are comfortable and very well equipped. Breakfast was marvellous (and the fruit salad deserves a special mention). I will be back!

Outstanding!
What a wonderful stay. We needed accomodaton just outside of Edinburgh to visit the city for the rugby in February. After reading the great reviews, we stayed with Isobel and Patrick for two nights and were not disappointed! We had everything you could ask for for a comfortable and pleasant stay. Isobel and Patrick are wonderful hosts, welcoming from the start with plenty of ideas and advice of what to visit during our time there. Breakfast was incredible, with a lengthy choice from fruit salad to full English to kippers! We would highly reccommend The Roods and hope to visit again!

Highly Recommended
What a superb B&B this was - but so much more as we had the run of the house and could use thelounge & kitchen whenever we liked. We had a very warm welcome, a very comfortable en-suite bedroom with super breakfast. Information on the surrounding area was plentiful while the B&B was ideally placed for trains into Edinburgh or points North. A really good experince

Hospitality at its very best
We stayed here for one night and wish it had been longer. An escape which was close to transport links (rail and bus) for exploring everywhere. The welcome was warm and inviting. The rooms a nuget of luxury which were exeptionally well apointed with everything you need for your stay. The breakfast was the most enjoyable experience with an amzing selection to choose from. Isobel and Patrick are exceptional hosts and make you feel very welcome. Having stayd in various B n B's and hotels throught the UK we both agree that this is one of the very best there is. We will definitely be back.

Fabulous friendly welcome
Never before have I been made so welcome. Isobel & Pat treated me like royalty.The room was extremely comfortable whilst the breakfast was worth the price on its own!Most definitely will be staying again.
