Rick's Vegas birthday trip
We had a lovely room in the tower overlooking Las Vegas. The hotel provided shuttle service to the & from fancy hotels on the strip free of charge. The resort package included wi fi, & daily newspaper. The "players' card initiated & given to us at the front desk at check-in allowed $4.99 breakfast & 7.99 lunch. The gambling was generous. We broke even, but I saw a woman winning over $40,000 at a slot machine just across from Starbucks.

Rating is based on room Location and food
I usually find hotels when we Travel, but my husband had a softball tournament in Vegas and he made the reservations this time, using special team rates. We were given a Courtyard Room, which others have mentioned, you have a short way across an alley to get into the casino. The courtyard rooms are old and dated, but we were given a suite (room 1429) . The room was clean and had a small refrigerator and a large tub. Bathroom had granite counters. The king bed was comfortable, but the pillows were lumpy. The shower drain did not work well. The room is close to the smallest of the two courtyard pools, which was very clean, as was the hot tub. During our stay, neither was crowded. The casino itself is nothing other than ordinary and a little smokey. It never seemed to be crowded. We had breakfast at the cafe. The first morning it was wonderful, but the second morning our meals were cold. Staff in the cafe were were very nice. The best part of our room was the location to our car. The room is 3rooms from a hotel side entrance, where we could park our car. This made for easy coming and going without having to walk through a smoky casino. The best experience we had at The Palace was eating at The Oyster Bar. We never wait on restaurant lines, but because of a friends recommendation we waited 45 minutes the first night. We loved it so much we waited an hour the second night to eat at this wonderful restaurant again. The Oyster Bar has about 18 seats, allowing for great views and conversations with the chefs. I would not stay at The Palace again, as I prefer to stay on the strip so we can walk to numerous places. But we will return to The Oyster Bar. (I have been told the rooms in The Tower are much newer and nicer)

Stay anywhere else!
This place is a dump! Prepaid $90 for a room in their "garden" section, in which you have to walk outside across a driveway, where the garbage bins are. Then was hit with the$18 resort fee. Before meeting my nephew for dinner, went downstairs to play video poker at the Mexican bar. My bartender had to ask the other how to make it! RU kidding me. Both were overweight with their sloppy breasts falling out of their tops. Real class, just like the majority of patrons. After dinner , I wanted to gamble , but I could not bring myself to accept the clientele and uncleanliness of the casino area . Went to bed and made an early exit the next day. FYI , upon my return stayed at La Quinta, airport S. for less, but a 10x nicer facility. Didn't shudder when I pulled back the sheets.

my stay
I came to this staion 2nd time . I had a discount for my room via internet offer but I had trouble access it I ascked wayne at the desk if he could he me to get chkd in he not only said no but he refuse to get me any help. I was near tears already stressed. It was the reason I needed a rm to begin with. I attempt to access my discount code on my own. It was late. I was tired. Just wanted to lay down. I still had trouble. Thank GOD forEstephani who showed up and did all she could to help me she accessed my offer for me and got me into a room. I was in tears because I was so grateful that she came to help she did care and could see that I was really tired. Wayne could have done the for me instead he asked me to move to help the one person behind me in the line. I did finally get a little rest. I know that this is not the way of business here. One bad apple here althogh.

5 nights at the station
We stayed 5 nights at the Palace station in April. The room was spacious and clean. AC worked great, nice tv however no frig or microwave in our room. As for the restaurants, we ate at the Grand Grill and found it to be very good, the buffet was about what you would expect decent and low priced and the pizza was ok too for a late night snack. They have Mexican, Italian, Irish and Oriental restaurants in the hotel which we did not eat in any of these. They have two pools and hot tubs which are both outdoor. It is 1/2 mile off strip at the north end, they do run a free shuttle and there is a city bus stop directly in front of the hotel. It was a nice stay, I have stayed 3 places off strip and 6 places on the strip and 6 places downtown and enjoyed them all. Personally I like staying downtown the best.
